May 11, 1973 at SUNY Delhi in Delhi, NY. My parents attended when my mother was 6 months pregnant with me. The music made me restless so she had to sit outside and listen from a hallway.

Most 70s artist had substance abuse problems that helped to explain career choices like Country Love.

There must be another reason for Brian's bandage...right?

Possibly.

For a little background info, I want to point you to this article about Dan Patrick (sports radio personality in the US) where he discusses light chemo to treat his chronic joint pain. https://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-dan-patrick-illness-health-20190503-story.html

Anyone happen to notice his left elbow? Is that a bandage for perhaps an injury?

It looks like an on body injector covered by gauze, the kind they use for patients following the last round of chemo. Maybe they are using one for his pain meds?

Any idea what they may have eaten for breakfast that morning? Mike has been known to give off some strong Eggs Benedict vibes

I love this album! An easy YES from me, too.
33  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Good Timin' w. Dennis lead vocal- what show is this from? on: March 14, 2019, 12:47:22 AM
At the end of the Midnight Special performance Dennis says "Thank you. Carl and Brian wrote that song. Carl was supposed to sing it but he chickened out on us."

36  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Mike Nesmith Reveals Quadruple-bypass Surgery - Still Plans to Tour In September on: July 26, 2018, 10:41:39 PM
I saw one of the last - if not the last - Mike & Micky show before the tour was cancelled. I had no idea why until now. Glad to hear he seems to be recovering nicely. He did seem off during the show and, in fact, the stage interaction was awkward. The band sounded great though and I was happy to have seen the show.

Isn't it amazing to read Mike had an oxygen tank setup backstage at those shows like the one you saw? I don't think anyone had a clue outside the inner circle and tour staff, and I know fans around Philly including those who drove pretty far from out of state to attend were shocked when that show was canceled hours before curtain. All I got to see were the various Facebook live streams of a few songs from various tour dates that they were putting up.

I got to go backstage at the Denver show and saw the oxygen tank and chair that was set up for him as we were heading to the green room. It was just a couple feet from the stage. I didn't think twice because i thought it was just normal thing for performers if they needed some extra help at that altitude.

Brian sounds really good in that video...

I really enjoyed the entire show but he was hit or miss last night. Love and Mercy was perfect, especially if I never get to see another Brian Wilson concert. I hope this wasn't my last, but you never know...

Who is covering on keys now? I heard Darian was not in Portland and his sub was a new person?

Gary Griffin and Debbie Shair were on keys in Portland

Got to to say hi and get a quick picture with Blondie after the Portland show:

Saw and said thanks to everyone else besides Brian. Told Matt Jardine I missed the ponytail, to which he replied,"I don't!"

If anybody has (or knows of) an extra ticket for the Portland show tomorrow (10/7), I would love to buy it and go to the show.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to beg  LOL
48  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Brian speaks with The Exchange (10 min interview) on: May 13, 2016, 10:42:42 AM
Sorry if this has popped up elsewhere. By Brian standards, this was a pretty nice interview re: Pet Sounds Anniversary.

Not that it's our business, but, in this interview with Scott, he says he is married.  Was this still the case at the time of the offense?
Makes is worse if there is a wife, and maybe kids as well involved in all of this.

We were friends on Facebook and he had posted pictures and glowing messages about his current wife plenty of times in the past. Today there is no sign of his account.

I am shocked and sad at this development. Certainly not sad for him, just for his fans, friends, and (most of all) the victim.

I love TLOS, but tend to skip the spoken word parts. With this album, I can play it all the way through without skipping. If I do skip one, it's Runaway Dancer, but just because I'm not in the mood for that style.

I made a TLOS CD with music only (plus I inserted the original Midnight's Another Day) and still enjoy it VERY much.
