If you can afford it, the Roland GT8 processor has some very nice "swirly" sounds. I've been recording my CD using the GT8 and it still amazes me just how all-purpose this processor is. I've recorded my Guitar, my Keyboards and my Voice thru the GT8 with excellent results. Once you buy the GT8(or the newer GT10)play around with all the settings for a couple of days. There's so many options inside this thing.

Mutedtrumpeterswan,
I'm being very serious when I say that "At My Window" is one of the best songs on "Sunflower"!! What more validation for the song do you need then from Brian Wilson himself who rates that little Masterpiece as one of HIS favorite BB songs!! The Harmonies are impeccable, the child-like innocence draws you right back to your very own childhood(at least it does for me since I started listening to Sunflower when I was 10 years old in 1973). Simply appreciate it for the Beauty that lies within it.........................

It's a timeless Love song that always brings back so many fond memories. And Carl is simply Stellar in his delivery of "Our Sweet Love". But it also sets the stage for one of THE most Brilliant songs on "Sunflower".....the immortal masterpiece "At My Window".

Mutedtrumperswan, Here's an excerpt from the recent Kris transcript as he gave it to us:
KRIS: Now if you wish to begin experimenting with sound in those specific terms, we can give you one that is indeed quite potent but do not expect that it will meet your expectation in terms of sense gratification that you are accustomed to. In your society, you get an itch and it must be satisfied now and if someone promises you an anointment that relieves the itching but it does not relieve it in the moment you apply it, you will complain, “your itch cream did not work”. Usually because you did not put it on or did not put it on enough. Do you follow?
JOHN: Oh yeah.
KRIS: The sound vibration that we will begin to use firstly is quite ancient and it makes references to divines. That means that the energies of the divines is in the tone and it will begin to clear away the clouds of unconsciousness from your present clouded awareness to one of awakening.
JOHN: Lay it on me.
KRIS: Which in many respects is the beginning of human life, awakening to ones inner constitutionality. Do you follow?
MARK: Yes.
KRIS: That particular sound vibration goes like this, “Om Namo Baghavate Vasudevaya”. (Kris spells it for us). O, m, second word, b, a, g, h, a, v, a, t, e, the last word is, v, a, s, u, d, a, v, y, a. It is pronounced, “Om”, do forgive us there is another word between “Om” and “Baghavate”. It is “Namo”, n, a, m, o. Thus it is, “Om Namo Baghavate Vasudevaya”.
JOHN: “Om Namo Baghavate Vasudevaya”
KRIS: “Vasudevaya”. (Kris corrects the intonation)
JOHN: “Vasudevaya”.
KRIS: It could be an “a”, it is irrelevant. (Referring to John’s intonation) The important point is to pay attention when you intone it from your diaphragm because it will trigger activity in the navel chakra and as you practice intoning that sound, hopefully you will do it more than for three minutes, you will begin to reflect upon the movement of energy from the navel chakra up towards the crown. Do you follow?
JOHN: Yes.
KRIS: Any inquiry?
KRIS: And pay attention because it will have an influence in the body and into your subtler bodies.
JOHN: Wow that is fun Kris.
KRIS: And it is also interesting to know that a definite consequence is a powerful quieting of the mind and a change of the breathing patterns. Any other inquiry?
From the recent Kris session Transcendent Sound July 16, 2009
Kris Chronicles Channeled by Serge J. Grandbois and Transcribed by Jonathan Whelan Recorded in Toronto, Canada on July 16, 2009

Hopefully that answers your question. I would gather that this Chant predates our particular civilization and would go back to the ancient Vedic civilization. Sounds "Sanskrit" to me.
Cheers, Bri

Matt-Zeus, Since you love Genesis so much I have to ask......what do you think of Marillion? Fish era Marillion.
I ask because I absolutely love Marillion from that era!!! One of the Best bands at that time period 1983-1987.

I've seen "The Musical Box" four(4) times now and there are as close as anybody is going to get to duplicating what Genesis was like back in 1972-1975!! Awesome show and each of those musicians nail their parts to a Tee!!!
Then again, The Musical Box ARE sanctioned by Genesis to be the "official" tribute band of Genesis. Genesis even donated much of their early props and lighting to MB.

Matt-zeus, I was waiting for you to respond. Remember, we're to only 2 die-hard Genesis fans on here!! I'm sure since you've listened to "007" and this one that the Steve Hackett influenece is quite noticeable? What can I say.....he IS the greatest guitar player in my book!

I agree Luther, to me it's their "Energy" which comes across much stronger than the actual music. Their main selling point is their Enthusiasm as they play the songs. Good band......but not a Great band.

Exactly what kind of MOOG is that on Funky Pretty? To my ears it sounds like a Mini Moog. And the MOOG "bass line" during the Copenhagee/Tokyosee section sounds phenomenal when played LOUD! Shakes the floor like MOOG Taurus bass pedals do when listening to Genesis or RUSH.

Don, Being a musican has alot to do with it.But I always thought the Beachs Boys were heads above the Beatles.I too never "got" the Beatles! I appreciate their musical genius, but Brian Wilson single handedly did what took 4 of the Beatles to do. Somehow,in my childhood since I started at age 10 with "The Beach Boys In Concert '73",I grouped the BB's in with the progressive rock bands that I've always loved:Genesis,RUSH,ELP,YES,Jethro Tull.Beacause Brian Wilson IS Progressive in his use of chord structures and VDP's Lyrics! Just a 35 year Lead Guitarist talking here.Funny how "musical affiliations" group together likes "families of Consciousness" as Seth,Kris & Elias have stated.
Cheers Amigo!

Phirnis, And yet,in it's Melancholy there's a very prominent "Grandeour" in the feeling tone of ATTWT.I was blown away immediatley back in 1978 when I heard "Deep In The Motherlode" and "Down and Out" on the local radio station. This quote below is what really sums up ATTWT for me.It's from the comments section of YouTube for "...Motherlode"
"This song makes my spirit soar. It takes me back to the days when'anything seemed possible' and I could almost feel a magic in the air on a cold crisp day with sun shining/ Anyone know that feeling? . this song is so inspirational, amazing, one of their very best and my faves!"
And that just about sums it up! MAGIC!
Cheers, Brian
