So the big questions I have to ask is for those bought the Super Deluxe Set. 1st are the session highlights extended at all or are the same ones from the 97 boxset? 2nd is the Good Vibrations track with partial vocal worth hearing?
2) Oh god yes. The Good Vibrations (Master Take with Partial Vocal) is probably the stand-out track on the set. There's even a hidden surprise at the end for the die-hard of the die-hards... Can someone please post this GV track, so we can see is this the one that was used in L&M movie during the GV scenes?? Also I seem to remember that this track was already (if it really is one with partial Carl vocal) released in some bootleg, I think Maybe someone can clarify?? I would love for someone to post it to Youtube, then I wouldn't have to buy the huge Deluxe set, btw I am buying the 2 Disc though.

Unfortunately Rab has left the board and he left behind an awesome Love mix. Well, I thought it was too short so I added some more to it and even removed some stuff that I didn't like. Here is my take on his Beach Boys Love Mix. I'm also working on an Alternate Today! album mix. I'll try to upload this to Youtube and Vimeo. Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/163175382Tracklist: 1. I’m Waiting For Our Prayer (Intro) 2. Heroes and Villains 3. Fun, Fun, Fun 4. You Still Believe In Me (Vitamin String Quartet and Brian vocal) 4. I Just Wasn’t Wonderful 5. Brian’s Magic Transistor Radio 6. Til I Die 7. I Get Around 8. Then I Kissed Rhonda on a Honda 9. Wouldn’t It Be Worms 10. Old Master Painter/You Are My Sunshine/Love To Say Da Da 11. Starchild 12. Wouldn't It Be Nice To Live Again 13. Good Vibrations (Outro)

I'll do Summer Days and Summer Nights!!! One of all time favorite albums!
1. The Girl From New York City: 3 It seems too plain, it could have used more instruments 2. Amusement Parks USA: 3 Not a bad song! The bizarre drum beat is awesome as well as that organ riff. 3. Then I Kissed Her: 5 A great Crystals cover played almost completely by the boys, except tambourine. 4. Salt Lake City: 4 I love that simple yet catch horn and guitar riff. even the drum pattern rocks! The lyrics are ok, sorry Mike! 5. Girl Don't Tell Me: 5 Another great underrated song, played entirely by the boys. This including Celeste! 6. Help Me, Rhonda (Single Version): 5 What can be said about this song? It has catchy lyrics, great melodies or hooks. All time favorite in my book! It shows that even though the lower 12 String Guitar part was played by Billy Strange, Carl added to it by playing it an octave higher. 7. California Girls: 5 Another classic I love! The Vibes, Horns, Organ and Guitars just make up this amazing musical pallet. Oh and can't forget Hal Blaine's amazing shuffle drumming! The lyrics are awesome to boot! 8. Let Him Run Wild: 5 Once again another one of my favorite underrated songs. That Electric piano played with the Vibes just creates this awesome tingling sound, as well as the cool chords played by the horns. The lyrics are very Pet Sounds, which works for me! 9. You're So Good To Me: 4 A very simple, yet catchy melody. The lyrics are cool. The track, just the boys again! 10. Summer Means New Love: 4 A great instrumental that bounces between a Rock ballad but transitions into a Pet Sounds sounding feel that I love! 11. I'm Bugged At My Ol' Man: 2 Yes Brian, was mad at his father and this was his revenge. It's fun to listen to every once in a while. The part that surprises me, is that even though it's a throw away song it was recorded directly to 8-Track. 12. And Your Dreams Come True: 4 BaBa Black Sheep Have You Any Wool? This melodically rearranged version of the old nursery rhyme is very complex sounding when given to a person like Brian Wilson. He just some how makes it work!

Regarding the SMiLE credits list above. There are two musicians who are missing from the list. One was considered a Wrecking Crew member that played bass on a lot of Beach Boys records and the other had a "woo-woo" machine named after him and played on Good Vibrations. Who knows who they are? I'm surprised the bass player was overlooked and I attribute it to an oversight, though maybe he wasn't around during the SMile Sessions (I doubt it).
I'm guessing you are talking about Ray Polhman and Paul Tanner lol.

Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / 1966 Live In Japan Concert

Was this concert actually recorded? I know there's a rough radio broadcast recording. I love it, very raw energy and the playing is amazing! It's also one the first times that Help Me, Rhonda and California Girls were played live. Bruce covers Brian's parts perfectly! Now this would be a great 2016 release if possible!

Unfortunately the US Singles Collection has some wrong mixes. California Girls, Don't Worry Baby and Fun,Fun,Fun are all the LP versions except in Mono. The Mono Single Mix of Little Saint Nick is also on the US Singles Boxset as well as it's B-Side The Mono Single Only Mix of Lord's Prayer. When I Grow Up To Be a Man and She's Knows Me Too Well are also Single Mono Mixes comparing them to the Mono 2001 Today Mixes the clarity is brighter. The US Singles Boxset also has rejected Single Mixes for All Dressed Up For School, I'm So Young the Alternate Version both in Mono and an unused Single Edit for Why Do Fools Fall In Love. I suggest checking out the box set for some cool mixes and extras such as the only official release of the Do You Wanna Dance Backing Track.
The two Greatest Hits Good Vibrations comps from 2000 have the correct Single Mixes of Fun, Fun, Fun, Don't Worry Baby, California Girls and Do It Again.

It sucks that he's gone now. He had the great project he was working on and now he's gone! I loved his Beach Boys Love idea mix. I was excited when he said he was going to work on it more and add to it. I tried to add more to it a month ago on my own to see if it works. I do apologize in advance as I didn't like the Hello Goodbye mix I removed it from my version but, everything else was spot on! I might post it sometime or if anyone else would love to carry on his legacy and contribute to it. I copied the stream to get his source files to listen to it on my computer and in my car.

once you realize that brian and mike are both dicks in their own way you can be free to enjoy the bbs again.
Ok bud, hows Brian a dick in his own way? Hmmmm did he listen to the session musicians and incorporate their ideas as well as the other Beach Boys into the music? Yes. Did he tell Mike I don't ever want to work with you again? No. Did he try to take publishing rights from Mike and the other Beach Boys? No. Did he beat up Rocky Pamplin when he caught him sleeping with his wife, no once again. Did he hit his brothers for anything at all? Brian was a gentle soul like Carl. You are here to spread your bs but, the fans and fact finders are going to piss on your parade. Here's a good idea quit lying or leave!

Hey Rab! I decided to tweak my Rhonda mix and use some crazy stuff to bring it to life, it's way better than the first mix I did. Feel free to use it or add to it! https://youtu.be/_79Zww9KBl0I can post it as a download but, I don't want to break the rules Some background information: After I had heard Rab's mixes, I wanted to pull something off like Brian's Transistor Radio and the Drive My Car/The Word/What Your'e Doing Mix from The Beatle's Love! I knew in my head that Help Me, Rhonda, Little Honda, Then Kissed Her and some of Heroes and Villains all share similar chords. So I assembled it like a musical puzzle trying to fit this vocal in this section, using this Harpsichord here etc. I used the Then I Kissed Her backing track with little bit of the 12 String Guitar on the intro. Underneath that is The Harpsichord Children Were Raised Part from Heroes and Villians and a chunk of Carl's 12-String Guitar Intro from Help Me Rhonda. The 12- String Guitar part was taken from a Help Me Rhonda session practice. Also you can hear Dennis's Go! shout from Little Honda. Before the Vocals of Help Me Rhonda kick in, we are treated with the Boys and Girls vocals from Heroes and Villains and The Bari Sax part from Help Me Rhonda. Underneath the Help Me Rhonda Vocals, are the Sax part from before, but also the Guitar Lick that goes with it, don't know what it's called. Intertwined within all this is Al Jardine's vocal from the Then I Kissed Her Solo section. Now onto Little Honda. During this we have little spurts of the previous parts, that work well with both, Honda and Rhonda: Bari Saxophone, Al's Vocal etc. After the vocals leave us there is a little surprise for fans. I'm telling what it is though! After you've had your minds blown, the Then Kissed Her vocals come up and end with my own little edit!
