Received mine today, unpacked it and love it. What a cool edition.

Let's see:

2011: Unpacked "the Smile Sessions"
2012: 50th Anniversary Tour
2013: Made in California

What will happen 2014?

I guess my setlist isn't that authentic after all...
One of the reviews said the played 49 songs. Adding Betsy and Darlin' it's up to 47.

Nice TV report. I saw them make the interviews.

There was no Carl-vocal on "God only knows", it was Brian who did a very good job with the lead.
And I have the feeling that "It's ok" was done in the firs set but I could be wrong

Can't remember them playing  "It's ok"

They did. But as I mentioned I can't remember exactly if they did it in the first set or in the second as in the posted setlist. I tend to believe it was in the first but I know someone wrote down the setlist so we'll get it

It was in the second set, my setlist above is quite authentic  Grin

I just cant remember them playing it...

Ok, but you missed "Ballad of ol' Betsy"  Wink And as mentioned, there was no pre-recorded Carl vocal

I copied that list and thought it was ok, but Betsy definitly is missing, I changed it, though I don't know the correct position in the list. It was first set.

California: Big Sur

Shocked Is this an error, or did I miss the excitement already for this??

It's an error, it was California, not Big Sur
11  Smiley Smile Stuff / Concert Reviews / Re: Show 59: O2 World - Berlin, Germany August 3rd 2012 on: August 05, 2012, 06:44:00 AM
One thing really annoyed me: When telling people I was traveling to Berlin to see The Beach Boys I always had the same replies: "Ahh that's , Baaa Baaa Baaa Barbara Ann.... "
Do the people only know this song in Germany? Why? They had a # 1 hit with "Sloop John B." in 1966. But no sir, it's always "Barbara Ann"!
Aaargh....

What a fabulous show.

Here some impressions from the Berlin Show I took, apparantly sitting just opposite of Rocker  Grin

Is Mike Love showing he wants to blow his head away? Well maybe he only just had a cunning idea what to have for breakfast.

I like this one with Brian waving his hands.

Audience

Notice in some shots there's a guy filming with a camera in between the musicians, so I hope we will have the Berlin gig on DVD. When entering the venue there was a notice that there will be filming.
He also was responsible for the crowd to advance to the stage. In one occassion he nearly crashed with his camera into Scott Totten Grin

Setlist deleted due to major error  Sad

Just came back from Berlin, it was an awsome concert.
What a set llst! (quite simular to Oslo) Darian threw a paper plane into the crowd at the end of the concert, maybe that was the set list?  Cheesy

I praise the Lord for little mercies.

Oh, Sorry about that, I used the "search" button, but couldn't find a topic regarding this issue.
I'll search again... Cool
17  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: New album info (as it rolls out...) on: June 03, 2012, 01:25:09 AM
Hmmm... The chorus of "Shelter" is very familiar. If you listen closely to "Thinkin Bout You Baby" sung by Shannon Marie, you will notice the relationship to "Shelter" is very obvious. Since ""Thinkin Bout You Baby" was later redone by Brian as the know very well known "Darlin". And yes "Darlin" aund "Shelter" are the same song.  ;

Just picked it out my postbox, immediately loaded it on my iPod and now I'll listen to it while going for a walk with my dog  Smiley

I'm sure he'll start taking a massive poop as soon as Spring Vacation will start and then bark at you when Beaches In Mind comes in.

 Grin

Close, he pooped when "Isn't It Time" was running

23  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: SMiLE Sessions box set! on: October 31, 2011, 04:08:55 AM
sh*t! Pet Sounds store in Stockholm have the box in store now. Does anyone know if it's possible to cancel my Amazon.de order? I've already paid for it!

You can cancel, if is not packed yet. If not, you can send the shipment back.

Go to "Mein Konto" --> "Meine Bestellungen" --> "Artikel zurückschicken"
You need a reason for sending back ("Grund der Rücksendung"), but they have a lot to select from:
- keinen Grund angeben (don't want to say reason)  Grin
- Gefällt mir nicht mehr (Don't like it anymore)
- Günstigeren Preis entdeckt (Found a better price)

You have a store called "Pet Sounds" in Stockholm? How cool is that?
24  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: SMiLE Sessions box set! on: October 29, 2011, 01:03:21 AM
I don't know if this works outside Germany, but on www.simfy.de you can listen to the whole SMILE 5 CD set for free.

All you need is an account, then you have 20 hrs free SMiLE. It should be even for non German speaker easy to registrate, the words are quite similar.

Try it out, I hope it works

The UK have "The Beatles"
The USA have "The Beach Boys"
Germany has "SMiLE"
