So, are the stereo wild honey tracks on this box the only ones for which true stereo mixes are possible? I remember Alan or Mark said that a stereo version of the entire album was impossible, but I've heard pretty good fanmixes of some of the other songs.
A stereo remix of "Let The Wind Blow" appeared on Hawthorne CA. Huh? 1. Wild Honey2. Aren't You Glad?3. I Was Made To Love Her4. Country Air5. A Thing Or Two6. Darlin'7. I'd Love Just Once To See You8. Here Comes The Night9. Let The Wind Blow10. How She Boogalooed It11. Mama SaysThese four tracks (the yellow ones) are being presented in stereo. Leading up to this release, a comment made by either Mark or Alan indicated that a true stereo mix of the entire album was impossible. Does the fact that these four, and only these four tracks are being released on MIC in stereo mean that stereo mixes of the excluded ones are impossible (the teal ones)? A Thing Or Two, Here Comes The Night, I Was Made To Love Her could all be done in stereo as far as we know. The others perhaps not, but who knows, maybe one or two more if they find something? I think all possible stereo mixes from one of their strongest albums should be released in some form in the future. Thanks. That's what I meant, I've heard better than passable fan mixes of A Thing Or Two and was curious whether or not an official mix was possible.

Guys, i'm feeling pretty pleased with myself. I just realized Becker is really Fishmonk who is really Ghost. What this has to do with John Q. Public or Dorian Gray or John Quincy Adams surfing in the Potomac, and whether any of them would like the Beach Boys, i still haven't figured out.
Is this true Becker, were you Ghost? I thought Heartical Don was Ghost Naw, monicker just has his panties in a twist about something or other.

I demand. I said I DEMAND the band put out a box set of all the shittest crappiest outtakes one can imagine. Given this board is made up of mostly ingrate selfish focks, I think it would be oh so fitting. Besides, all these ingrate selfish focks would have years and years worth of whining and diva drama performance inducing material to satisfy even their flacid salamis. BRING IT ON. IAM AM OF THE INGRATE SELFISH FOCK GENERATION. It is my given right to expect it.
I actually wouldn't mind that....

I disagree- this is a BB's message board named after Smiley Smile- it is a place for refuge and discussion among like minded people. We have a unique taste in music. Speaking on behalf of myself, I feel no need to drag it or anything down, just the need to discuss and vent amongst comrades- whether we agree or not. It's not like my co-workers have any clue what I talk about if I mention anything BB related. Dudes take things waaayyyyy to seriously on a BB message board. If something someone wrote is bothering you, then don't reply!! It's easy!! How many people get worked up for nothing! Need I bring up Phil Cohen?
At least if I complain about the price of MIC, that is something to me- my $$, and my all-time favorite music/art. Purchasing this set Aug 27th or waiting it out is quite the conundrum and it is apparent that feeling is shared among many super fans here.
No one is making anyone respond or even disuss these things. If it bothers someone then don't discuss it. It's simple. Just don't feel upset if people came to the SMILEY SMILE MB to vent about something they care deeply about.
+1 Someone comes here, says they don't like the price of the box set, That's cool, your choice. Someone posts time and again they don't like the price, that's NOT discussing, that's WHINING
Someone comes here, says the tracklist is subpar, and is jumped on by 10 people. Whining about whining is still whining. And you are guilty of keeping that going. Mahalo mentioned something important that you ignored. Do you guys really have to respond to each and every post you disagree with? Do you let NOTHING go? You are keeping the back & forth going by constantly crying about the back & forth. If you really want 60 pages on how great this tracklisting supposedly is, then I'm sorry. Plus, that would make for some boring reading. I've actually moved on from this, but I come back now & then to see if there is any news just to see the same old folks bitching because some people don't think a handful of new songs is worth $130-145. And Meister, read Meister too
And what's going to happen? He'll close the book when finished and suddenly think just like you? I doubt that's how it works.... Reading the Bible didn't make me a Christian nor did "Christianity" (Nietzsche) make me an Atheist.... We are who we are and we will gravitate toward and prop up works of art and information that confirm our self image...... which is exactly the way it ISN'T supposed to work. But we are merely human. This is my #1 all time favorite post here. The dismissive tone combined with the accidental recapitulation of major thematic strains from the novel make it downright delectable. Well, I haven't read the book, so who cares? Delectable to you and you only. Anyone else just sees that you didn't answer the question... Considering it was clearly a rhetorical question, I'm not going to be loosing any sleep over it, promise. Probably better that way..... I honestly don't get you..... Minus one lengthy statement which basically just demonstrated apathy, all you've done is recommend a book.... over and over and have shrugged off any efforts by rocknroll to initiate a conversation with this intellectual pose and not so subtle hostility. Um, my favorite book is Kangaroo by DH Lawrence. You should read it..... I guess I'll repeat this statement over and over and over.... But seriously: the book does have relevance toward such discussions as these... And I have looked into On The Aesthetic Education Of Man, and will get my hands on a copy.... The French Revolution interests me greatly, so I am looking forward to it. You should read it, it's great

You never know, you might learn something
I appreciate the recommendation but I am in the middle of writing my dissertation right now so, while I do reward myself occasionally with some fiction, I am afraid that most of my theoretical reading will be restricted to the dissertation for at least the next year. That being said, I really don't see the value of this kind of posturing. To me, it is a bit disgraceful to use one's scholarly knowledge as a way to demean others. It is kind of like the difference between the kids who took karate and used their training for self-defense and the kids who used it to intimidate other kids. Scholarly knowledge should not be used as a means of intimidation and it's a little bit precious to see someone who complains about authority to be not only appealing to authority as often as you do but also using your own knowledge as a way to turn yourself into an authority. You should read Aesthetic Education Of Man
