I used to make BB shirts.  I no longer do but I have Dennis, Brian and H&V (sheet music is what is on the shirt) shirts still available in most sizes.

I don't have a webpage and don't know how to post pics here but write me and I'll send you any information.   $16 including postage (XXL $18) in the US.

Greg -- glarson432@aol.com

YEAH!  I bought shirts from Greg, too.
All  of them are super nicely done, on good quality tees. If you want some great BBs shirts to wear, you should talk to Greg about getting them!  Can I say that here?  ( I've got mine)
If I can get my camera to work, I'll try and do some pics of the shirts I got from him.

Well, I did get the Summer Days Record Club edition for Christmas.  VG++, still in the shrink wrap.  It still amazes me how flimsy the back spine of these record club editions are -- the back spine is split about an inch and a half, even though the shrink wrap is intact.

Of course I wouldn't put it past the Capitol Record Club to have re-wrapped their returns and sent them back out to unsuspecting customers...

Now to find Little Deuce Coupe, Today, Friends, and Pet Sounds/Carl & the Passions...

Lee

HA! That's a good one then.
You list the others that have been shown, and yours, but I bet there are Club copies for every release by them; we just haven't found people yet that bought them.

I do wonder, tho, if there's a Surf's Up or Holland on the Capitol Club. If the Pet Sounds/CATP is any indication, it will only show on the spine and the labels. So unless we check every copy we ever see, they could be easily passed up

i have a 3/4 blue sleeve Beach Boys tour shirt from the early 80s, Dennis can be seen wearing it a couple times in that era

That's way cool!  Did he give it to you, or did you find it on auction somehwere?

I've got a bunch of shirts that I bought at concerts, shirts I've been given by Record promo people and ones I've bought offn Ebay. Same thing pretty much for caps.( the kind you wear on your head) A beach towel or two; one I think was a promo towel for BBs LA.
More than one of the shirts that Greg Larson made; they're really great!  Thanxx Greg, you're the best.
also a few BBs jackets, and a really cool (IMO) old BBs Sweatshirt (I think it's one the fan club sold in the Smiley Smile era)

I think in Brian's most recent recordings and concerts, he sounds like he did in the 60's.  LOL

What I don't get is how a thread about Jon's next project devolves into talking about Bob Dylan.

Movie version segues into a much sparser version of "Sad, Sad Summer": regarding the custom versions of the song, of the two dozen rumored to have been recorded, the following are known to exist.

KRTH 101 - LA (pressed on a promo 45)
WMMS - Cleveland
KFRC - SF
'a Detroit version'

So, are the last three listed, songs that show up on a Master Tape, somewhere? (Like maybe in the BBs storage locker)
Or are they versions that have been reported by fans who have recorded them off the airwaves?

Through the eyes of the camera lens you will be transported right onto the live performance stage almost as if you were in the band. You’re so close to the action that you will want to pick up a tambourine to play and sing along as the band glides through “The Trader,” “Long Promised Road” and “Marcella.” Holy CRAP! I can't wait for this.

Yes Yes Yes.....This is going to be great!!!!! Thanks to Billy Hinsche for doing this!!!!

Yes, it's an interesting piece of work. The video medium used here,  the "Porta-Pak" system, wasn't as highly evolved as today's videos, so pretty much everything has a grainy look.
But, to see inside, to see a close-up backstage look at the BBs and some of the dynamics involved, its a must see.

Dennis is great. Carl can be funny. intercut with interview segments( recent) it's a nice video.
There's a lot of Ricky Fataar here. And It's hard to imagine the difference in looks then/now for Carli Munoz.

Billy signed mine for me,( I asked) so I have to say a Special THANK YOU to him for that!

After Dennis' funeral Mike celebrated with a bottle of champagne.

I recall reading something slightly different, i.e. that Mike showed up with a couple of bottles of vintage champagne before the memorial service as he reckoned DW would have appreciated it.

I remember reading it the same way you do. Maybe to Milt it seemed in bad taste and that was just how he took it.

My information is that Mike and his father (who is still alive, I believe - mid-90s) haven't spoken for something like 20-odd years.

Could that be anymore perfect for the BBs world we live in?

Hey Lee--

Very cool to see all of these labels.  I'm also wondering why on some the 8 is hyphenated, and on others, it's all one number....

Also..on the GOOD VIBRATIONS ST 442...I've seen a variation on a RED Label, which was shortlived back in 1970...I think I have a copy.  I was wondering if this was a Record Club Issue or just a label variation.  I believe it's the latter myself, and if I can dig out my copy..I'll post it at some point.   I may not have it anymore...

Thanks for sharing.

Dogbone

Just remembered seeing this post; Checked my shelves, and found the Red label version. Definitely a hard to find label, but NOT a club version.

Well Chris, "Lee" can be a male or female name...   Cheesy

WHAT exactly are you saying?
The seller said , and I quote: "some lady from North carolina".
She didn't say "LEE".
Truth be told, I asked her "was it someone named Dempsey, because I know a couple people in NC"
She said she didn't know.
I guess  maybe it was an email offer. She didn't tell me, and I didn't demand to know. I Was PISSED.

So, are you saying you bought it?
If not:
Maybe your wife is getting it for you for Xmas, and you don't know about it?  ( Act  SURPRISED,  if this is the case)
It was a lousy moment in time for me, I'll tell ya that.
But like I said, maybe I'll get the next one.
HEY, I got that FFF on EBAY!
6661  Smiley Smile Stuff / The Beach Boys Media / Re: U.S. Capitol Record Club LPs on: December 09, 2009, 09:24:25 AM
Ahh, Something I can add to the list.
Noticed a hole in the list from Arapaho, and found a copy of Fun Fun Fun ( the reissue) on Ebay.
I hope the picture works here, as I have trouble figuring out how to do these uploading things.
Anyway, it's SF-8-0702. ( i just bought it, and don't actually have it in hand)

Evidently, from the preview, not the greatest image; but if you strain your eyes, I think you can make out the numbers on the label.
I thought I was getting a Mint copy of the Summer Days Club LP from a craigslist seller here. We had a deal at 50% of the Goldmine price; When I got to her house to pick it up, she told me "some lady from North Carolina" had offered her $50. It was no use emphasizing that we had a deal. " This is my christmas $$"
maybe I'll get "the next one"...
