Dang, I don't think I can do this!

The perfect new BBs set would consist of about 70% stuff I already own, with some live tracks and remixes added.  It would carefully avoid any/all recordings that could lead people to believe that B-Dub is in any way weird, and it would be called something like "California Summer."

Also, certain albums should be remastered, but other albums--preferably some of my personal favorites--should be skipped arbitrarily.

To cap it all off, the members of the band should participate in yet another public feud, leaving it clear that they will most likely never perform together again.

It seems to me that one of the biggest problems with modern music is the general tendency to emphasize style over substance.  It's all about affectation, posing, and playing a role of some kind.  I hate it.

It's gotta be Diamond Head at this point.

I could have gone with practically any of them except for Robertson.  In the end I chose Garth, the unsung genius of the group.

Good stuff!  That Buck Owens track really surprised me.

I already have most of Nillson's albums on CD, but everything I've heard about this set makes me feel like I should take the plunge.  And I haven't even bought the friggin' MIC set yet!

Village Green and Arthur are my personal faves, followed by Something Else.

I play drums in a very loud band.  Several years ago, I decided to play a single gig without earplugs, just on a whim.  Midway through the set, I had instant, excruciating pain in my left ear (the one nearest my hi hat).  It felt almost like the left side of my head caved in.  The pain eventually subsided, but I've had severe tinnitus ever since (and my ear pops pretty much every time I swallow).  Took a hell of a long time to adjust to it, but now I don't really think about it much anymore unless I'm in a very quiet environment.

Interestingly, when I had my ears tested the doc said I had suffered no actual hearing loss.  In fact he couldn't find anything wrong with my ear at all.
