Hi,
I have some questions regarding some of the U.S. Brother/Reprise 45's, and I know some of the people here will know the answers:
1. Has anyone ever seen or does anyone have a stock copy of "Tears In The Morning"/"It's About Time" (Brother/Reprise 0957), and if so, are they the same mixes as on SUNFLOWER? Promos are fairly easy to find, and itound like both songs are stereo foldovers of the SUNFLOWER mixes. In addition, "Tears..." on the promo has been faded quickly directly after the final vocal, "I'm missing you...," cutting the piano tag out completely. If stock copies exist, do they also have this same shortened version of "Tears..."?
2. The 1993 GV box set faetured a version of "Long Promised Road" missing the first chord so that the song started off on the 1 beat immediately prior to the first vocal line. Does either issue of the "Long Promised Road" 45 (Brother/Reprise 1015 b/w "Deirdre" or Brother/Reprise 1047 b/w "'Til I Die) feature this version with the first chord edited out, or was this just a mistake on the box set (it would seem like a logical edit for a single, which is why i'm wondering).
3. I know stock copies of "You Need A Mess Of Help To Stand Alone"/"Cuddle Up" (Brother/Reprise 1091) exist, because there's a scan of one on The Flames website. But this has to be one of the hardest to find singles to find as a stock copy, while promos, again, are not that hard to find. The promo has a different mix of "Cuddle Up" than on CATP (it's mono, but not a simple stereo foldover, and features acoustic guitar and other things not audiable on the stereo LP mix). Does the stock copy have a similarly different stereo mix of "Cuddle Up," or is it simply the CATP stereo mix?
Thanks in advance for any help!
