So Brian was present for How She Boogalooed It?
No session tape apparently survives, but only 3 Beach Boys are listed on the AFM sheet for that tune: Brian, Carl, and Bruce. Cool, thanks! In your experience, would someone providing handclaps get listed on the AFM sheet? What I'm getting at is that if Mike was not providing the handclaps, could this be the only BB song that Mike was involved in writing but not in recording?

Isn't "Come Go With Me" just a stack of Al Jardines?
Also, "In My Car" off the "Still Cruisin'" album is a stack of Brians with Carl and Al adding chorus lead vocals. I'm pretty sure only Brian, Carl, and Al are on that one.
If there are any other BB's on CGWM, I sure don't hear them. So "You never give me a chance" is Al as well?

is there anywhere online we can hear or find the isolated vocals? lots of different thoughts on those background lead vocals. Interesting still, we have heard lots of the Capitol material dissected and available in various forms now, but hardly anything of the great early 70's albums.
Yes, isolated vocals would be great to hear!

Wait-- I thought the highest voice was Christine McVie?
...or Marissa Conover, per Alan Boyd. No one seems to really know for sure. (Ed, you were there....) I'm guessing he's talking about the high note at 1:44, which is pretty fricking high (I can't hit it, that's for sure). Higher than the female part at the end. This is SUCH a great recording, one of my absolute favorite Beach Boys tracks. It's apparently mostly Cushing-Murray's work. This track is SO good. The only reason we didn't do it on LONG PROMISED ROAD is I couldn't fathom any arrangement we could conceivably pull off live. How much would you say Dennis wrote? I'm actually rereading Craig Slowinski's essay about the recording which was my source for saying that. The link is above, but it sounds like it's about 60-40 Murray to Dennis. It appears that Dennis came up with the track and the chord progressions, Murray did the lyrics and the melody. Ah thanks. I have, of course, read c-man's essay, but it's been awhile. I'll go read it again. Always loved Dennis' voice on this one. Fits the mood perfectly.

Al's story about recording Come Go With Me with Brian coming down in his robe, does that add up chronologically? Was the home studio still around for when CGWM was first recorded?
In a much earlier interview, late 70s I think, Alan stated that they rented a mobile unit at Brian's house, but only he showed up to use it, so he pleased himself. No mention of Brian showing up. Ah, thanks! I have a vague memory of having read that before now that you mention it.

Could not figure out how to access Pre-sale codes either. A lot of the seats were locked out if you did not have code.
But I got two tickets for the Horseshoe show in July!
Can't wait, this will be our first BW concert!
Wow, a Pet Sounds performance will be your first BW show. Awesome. Enjoy!! Thanks! I wasn't aware of the tour until today, saw it on Bing and the tickets due to go on sale at 10:00am. Really floored that she said don't worry about the price get the best seats you can. I don't think I have fully taken in the import of today's good fortune. It will hit me when I see the cc statement, no doubt. BTW there are 4 Horseshoe Casinos on the Tour and we will be at the Elizabeth, IN one. My first BW show was also a PS one, back in January 2002. Still keep the t-shirt I bought in everyday rotation. :-) Great show, great memories.
