Also, I remember seeing some fan made box set mock-ups of The Beach Boys Love You and some of their other albums somewhere online.  Anyone out there know where I can find those again?

Very curious to see how the blanks will be filled in.   

Gave it a listen, great work there!  I almost always enjoy Beach Boys soundalikes too.

How about this:

CARIBOU (1972-75) - outtakes from So Tough to pre-15 Big Ones, presented as a proper album that could have been.

ENDLESS SUMMER LIVE (1972-75) - cover art like Endless Summer but with real photos of the group from the era. Track list mirrors Endless Summer as closely as possible for the first disc!

BRIAN IS BACK (1976-77) - 15 Big Ones + Love You + MIU  outtakes + New Album, Adult Child, etc.

1978-2012 - everything else. Not too much marketable here is what I think is the problem.

Pure speculation on my end but I think it would be cool if this box set includes material from 1969 to 1975ish.  Then some subsequent bulk releases down the road for the 15 Big Ones/Love You/Adult Child era.  Then after those, whatever outtakes remain from MIU to Beach Boys 85 roughly.  One can dream...

I think most people are just jumping the gun here and making up their own assumptions.  I'm personally happy with any kind of digital release. 

Maybe all the complaining in this thread is what's causing the delay.  Just sayin'...  

In this day and age, we need all the previously unreleased Beach Boys material we can get! 

I have it on cassette.  Near mint condition too.

I can see some digital teasers before fall but that's just my opinion. 

The sooner the better I say! 

I'll take whatever I can get ASAP.   

^  Similar to the Grateful Dead archival releases.  I personally don't have any issue with digital-only releases since that's the way of the future in music.  I just want to hear more previously unreleased music from this group.  Some people are simply too materialistic.  Get with the times!

I hope we get some release date news about this soon!  Can't wait too long. 

I'd love to hear more material like Where Is She, Walkin', You're As Cool As Can Be, any Dennis songs, early versions/demos, etc.

Maybe we'll just get "Beach Boys Central" one of these days!

So incredibly thankful for these spectacular archival releases we've been getting in the past couple years!  Major thanks to Alan Boyd, Mark Linett, Jerry Schilling and all else involved on the Beach Boys team for making this possible.

Soooo many highlights, but I can't get over that rockin' Honey Get Home riff!  And the alternate Can't Wait Too Long, Whistle In, etc... 
This release will make you fall in love with The Beach Boys all over again.

I think Jay is right.  I have heard precisely 3 versions: The 5 minute version, the edited down 1:30 version, and the Don Goldberg version.

I was there (in the audience) and loved it!  Thanks for sharing!
