Does Mike have the right to sell his CD with the logo of the Beach Boys? Is there any possibility that he'll get sued?
I’m really not sure if there are grounds for a lawsuit with this. But if there are, I’d venture to bet that no one in BRI, outside of Mike, is wanting to kickstart a headache of a lawsuit that will last years, take money, further deepen the divide between these guys, and ultimately not go anywhere. Mike seems to be the only guy willing to do this kind of sh*t (as he has proven) the others seem a bit more grown up about this kind of stuff. Agreed. Overall, the idea of Beach Boys logo on solo album is ridiculous, and it's kind of devalue the stuff himself as 'just an imitation of the public image of the Beach Boys'. It doesn't do justice to his own material, which probably means that he didn't put much soul this time.

I honestly think sometimes people write articles like this just to get some clicks as they know it'll get a rise out of people.
Take a beloved band, album, or song, and write a viciously negative review, and it generates traffic to the site.
Sad what passes for music journalism these days.
As I think I said somewhere before, conspiracy theories and making money make the Internet boring day by day. I'm not sure this is such case, though. Reading other reviews of the reviewer's, he seems to dislike what's not 'rock'. He criticized Simon and Garfunkel for not being 'rock'. Considering that, it's pretty natural for him to suspect the appreciation for PS as the best 'rock' album. Sure it doesn't sound like 'rock' at all. Rock and roll isn't always about fast songs and loud guitars. Just ask The Moody Blues. Right.
