There's a handful that I love, but mess me up every time I hear them. The first song that came to mind was "All Alone". For me it's right up there with He Stopped Loving Her Today & some of the old Hank Williams songs as the most deeply depressing (yet greatest) songs I've ever heard. I know, technically solo Dennis, but I figured I could include it since the first time I heard it / it was officially released was on the Endless Harmony soundtrack Also: Their Hearts Were Full of Spring A Young Man Is Gone (already mentioned, but) The Warmth of the Sun Auld Lang Syne Spirit of America (it's just sad to me, not sure why) The ending of "When I Grow Up to Be a Man" gets me every time too as being so melancholic, "won't last forever", and all that.
Forgot about that one, but 100% agree with you. Me too, & I always thought I was the only one who thought "it's kind of sad", lol If you include outside projects I would have to go with "I Wish for You".
Totally with you, that one came to my mind as well

I've been watching the show (if only for any mention of their dad or uncles & the extremely off chance Brian happens to make an appearance ). I like the girls and think they're talented, but was utterly disturbed by the fact that Wendy (who's technically old enough to MY mother) didn't know the words to one of her own dad's most famous songs. Seriously?! My 6 year old cousin even knows all the words to Wouldn't It Be Nice I love Wendy, but that was pathetic

I was all broken up over Dick Clark, and then I heard about Levon Just horrible. I've adored him for as long as I can remember. When you lose people you've admired so much and for so long it really feels like losing family. Not only a huge loss because of the human being and enormous talent he was, but because the Band's last voice has been silenced. I can't see a bright side in situations like this, but at least him, Rick, and Richard (& their amazing sound) are together again. Maybe they're even jamming with Dennis & Carl tonight

Ugh, the Crocodile Rock video I had felt bad for Carl many times before, but my heart just broke for him there. He always gave his all, even at that, but his heart did not seem into it (which we should probably be thankful for someone keeping their sanity). But I have to admit I've gotten much pleasure out of imaging what Dennis would've done (to Mike) had he walked onto that set (or any number of things that happened after he was gone) This is just my feelings, but I've always thought that when Dennis died, and Brian out of the picture, it was just a losing battle for Carl. It was 3 against 1 (if you count Bruce, and wasn't whoever was speaking for Brian siding with the Mike/Al faction in the late 70s as well? ). He had to be cringing partaking in so much of that shtick & cheesiness that was the '80s & '90s. I've always felt he stayed so there would still be some of that credibility that only a Wilson presence could bring to the band, and so not all of their previous work would be exploited. You gotta hand it to him, that boy certainly had to grow up quick and put up with a lot in his lifetime.

YAY!!!! May 11th can't come soon enough But my aunt found some site that says the first 40 rows are already sold out (scalpers??) (& the tickets don't officially go on sale til the 27th), anyone know if this is legit?? I'll cry if it is The Benedum holds some tickets for members and offers the seats to them first..Fortunately i am a member! Don't know if this is the reason though. I've bought tickets from the Cultural Trust before (so I have an account with them), but (and this may sound really stupid) can I become a member? If so, how? I'd sell almost everything I own for good seats to this concert! Than you should be on thier mailing list and if not i'll let you know if i get something. Okay, thank you

So does this mean all the front row (& then some) seats are gonna be reserved for these packages I would love to meet Brian (though I'd probably be more awkward in that situation than him, given I didn't faint first ), but it's just not gonna happen. $300 for couple good tickets will be a stretch, so I hope they're not all reserved (fingers crossed!!!) BTW, anyone happen to know why certain dates (ie Pittsburgh) aren't listed on the vip nation site?
