I went to a Mike + Bruce show in Bonnelli Park Ca..Near Pomona ca.. REALLY OLD CROWD..!1 wheelchairs + people that  had NEVER seen the BB in their prime..lots of LOWRIDER latino"s..That wouldnt buy a BB cd if their life depended on it..It was a lethargic crowd of OLD Farts...And i am one myself....The band played lethargic + uninspired.. This was summer 2002..Ive seen them since in a small place and they were better but still...Not quite there.. And the so called 5 percenter"s..Made Disney Girls a CLASSIC...I think its way above 5%...MOST people who go to BW show"s + BB small shows..Are the HARD CORE FANS..... Im sick of BJ pandering to the lowest common denominator of fans...Wish we In USA..Got the same kinda shows..England got this year..that would be an event..Id even GO...!!

Hey South Bay.. that Bw footage you mentioned is from 83 costa mesa ca.. I was there = we talked about that concert on another thread at shut down board i believe..As far as the longer theatre version.. It had more concert snippets.. Press conf..More footage of  84 wash dc..And some landy stuff also..In cluding the footage south Bay was talkin about....landy = Brian.. I paid to see that movie 3 times in about a month..then it  dissapered..and came out on VHS..I noticed the shorter version right away..When you paid to see it ..It was pretty close to 2HRS....the vaults must be FULL of concert videos.. The 89 tv show BB summer specials.. Was FULL concert with Chicago..89 Costa mesa..Should release the whole thing of that show..Including Chicago...BW did 3 solo songs with BB backup band...Long Version of..Love + Mercy...In my Car...Country Feeling...

The version that was used in movie theatres was about 10-15 minutes longer...it had more about BB in 80"s..the nite i saw it Dianne + marlyin were there in back row with some kids...also there was a 60 minute version of America band released on VHS....Also when that video came out it cost over 65.00 NEW to buy back then..!!...The long version..

Hunnington..Newport ...Dana Point,,,Carlsbad... Ventura...Santa Barbara.....BEACHES...!!..The motorcycle + car tracks that Dennis visited are gone...For car hookups... Irwindale raceway... 605 fwy between 210 + 60 Fwy... same kinda deal.....Also Hemet track..Sprint cars...Nude beaches.. Visit blacks beach San Diego  CA...Old BB studio was on 5th street Santa Monica...Anaheim stadium  was were the BB played in front 50-70 thousand people.. Left CRACKS in stadium... Stadium BOUNCED  like a RUBBER ball... Anaheim was NEVER the SAME...!!!San Berdo swing is still there in the orange show parking lot... They have mickey mouse nascar there SaT nite...!!!

On the American band video.. When they talk about the "AIR " section of SMILE... There is a piano piece.. Without vocals.. It is IMPLIED it is a part of the "AIR" section of Smile..

JEEZ..ill make it more weird.. Theres is no way i could compile a list without breaking the styles of music down... I couldnt mix Jazz ..Blues ..Country..Pop..And rock + all its other divisions..On one list..I couldnt mix..jeff beck ..Larry carlton..Miles davis..with albert Collins ..BB King..Beach Boys..Kinks Who..garth Brooks..Alan Jackson...ETC ETC..... Id have a list for every style of music.. 10 desert Island disks for each style of music...LOL...!!!!

REALLY gonna miss Bob + Jimmy...GREAT rhythm section...!!.. It seems kinda odd they would both leave at the same time even tho they both work + live in chicago... They are both free lance musicians trying to make a name + living...What"s good for one may not be good for other one..  They wouldn't make that decision together...SO..I'm so glad to have met them + watched them play with BW....If i ever need a rhythm section Who else ya gonna call..LOL...!!.. Gonna miss  Bob"s smile + Attitude And the way he nimbly play"s his bass..And Jimmie Is a drummer who can rock + be subtle + still play those odd time signatures   ... Two fine musicians... And i dont know anything about the new bass player but he has big shoes to fill...Mike the new drummer is a fine musician who has played with BW before so all is still well. STILL Gonna miss the Tasty Bros....!!!!!!!

Dont know if that Melinda comment is true or not.. I do know that private emails flew back + forth + everyone decided NOT to talk about it,,,If Melinda is involved she has that right...It must be frustrating to keep new work private...We all know that doesnt happen..  And its gone on forever..BW is such a revered figure in music..The music is so geniune That the fans want everything ...!!!!!         BUT.. And a BIG BUT... Melinda must know anybody that has those..will.. STILL .. Buy the FINISHED product.... The true fans SUPPORT the music in all its forms..... But yes their privacy has been invaded...

Hope Alan Boyd or Jon Stebbins or someone else who really knows truth can help me out...I understand copywrite law when recording + selling cd"s Or videos when recording someone elses tune.. Songwriter gets paid for sales + airplay...I have a  cover band that plays rock ..blues ..country rock.. Local gigs are easy to get but we are headin for casino"s..Hopefully... found a connection..We want to put up our own web site or myspace site...We do write a few originals but they pay us to play cover tunes..Now I want to put  up a concert video with edits of the tunes we play.. It is not for sale.. But..We will get gigs hopefully from that....Is this legal..?? Is there a time limit to how much of a tune we can use..Without paying royalties..??...Any real info..?? I bring this up cause i checked on .. the orange County Beach band.. Chris Farmer"s band.. They have a video edit of a bunch of BB tunes they play live..Also Good vibrations band has done the same thing..Using short edits of BB songs.... What is legal + what is not.. Thanks for any info to all of you..!!!
