   So funny I split my coffee and almost popped a button.  

Wow, the "I Get Around" ad is terrifically bad.

I suspected what it was advertising at the beginning (why was there a need to show a woman coping on a bicycle in the 80s when she was ... otherwise afflicted?) but then the guy and the dog threw me right off.

Until explained above, I thought it was selling chewing gum, or maybe aspirin.

Okay, I'll chuck one in.

I was in a mall a few months ago, and started thinking "I'd love to hear The Beach Boys."  There was no chance of that happening with the type of easy listening 80s and 90s hits playing.

Right then "Hold On" Wilson Phillips came on, nice and loud. 

Pinch me, I must be dreaming!

I never thought I'd see Brian live, and now I will.  Just to be near that man's presence is enough.

Okay, I return with my findings...

It appears that there are Mike Love fans out there, and let me clarify that I meant specifically Mike Love fans, not Brian Wilson and Beach Boys fans. 

They exist, and they very quietly support him, because to stick your neck out as a ML fan (specifically, that is, if I can just clarify that one more time)  is to risk getting it brutally torn off and shoved somewhere reasonably difficult to extract, unless you have a history of work experience in certain sectors of the airport. 

Personally, I do not dislike the guy, and I feel that without him the magic would not have occurred.  His lead is awesome, and he is a huge part of my favourite sound in the world, those boys getting together.

Forgive me if any Mike bashing was insinuated. 

Oh yeah, that long dead forum was crap anyway, so I don't regret taking the piss out of that.
