On Vega-tables, there is a keyboard part (sounds like a key setting on Brian's organ) in the last section of the song (I know that you'll feel better, after the aca break). It's missing from the Hawthorne mix, and I'd guess because it was punched in live as you said.

First SMiLE I've listened to in over a year, and like everyone's been saying, defiantly the best. I noticed on songs like Look and Surf's Up your track and vocal mix is better than any I've heard before . How'd you achieve this? Layering of the isolated instrumental parts, lots of EQing, or what? And what program for the editing? Anyways, brilliant job, you deserve a co-production credit on it.

Strange that Dennis has to be the one labeled in this way, when this had to be one of the most bizarrely incestuous collection of people I've ever encountered. I mean, is there anyone here that doesn't know Brian was romantically linked with all three Rovell sisters? And that's just the tip of the iceberg... Guess it's the price paid for looking like an Adonis!
No, you can't rationalize this away like that. What both of them did is effed up, and they both should be called on it. it's not like Brian gets the free pass while Dennis gets crap for sleeping with Mike's wife. In fact, most of the time when I see the second incidence mentioned, it's used to laugh at Mike's expense. Dennis' womanizing is very rarely looked upon in a poor light by the fans as far as I have seen, so I see no problem in someone pointing out the fact that yeah, sleeping with your cousin's wife is pretty bad.

Fact: (ask Stebbins!) Dennis actually recorded the same album IN ITS ENTIRETY in the same studio with the same musicians (out of Brian's pocket incidentally) and then crept into Brian's room at night and hooked up a tape recorder so he could play the session tapes to Brian via headphones as he slept. Hmm... well if Stebbins said it... The "hum-de-dum"s from the Good Vibrations-sessions sound like Brian-only to my ears.
Marilyn at least is on there also.

I think most of those are 76 once the 15 Big Ones sessions commenced.. the ones where he was REAL heavy are probably from Janurary. The few I know for certain are from 1975 were taken at the Anaheim show.
Looking at his hair length, general facial appearance, weight, and Dennis not having a beard, I'm pretty sure it's 75. But I could be wrong.

And it's Al doing the "This whole world" falsetto at the end, right?
And the "I'm thinkin' bout" in the middle?
I'm sure that's Bri in the middle. And I always assumed that's his falsetto, too. Josh, let us know. Well, in the instrumental bridge (the second time through the "girls and boys" section) it's definitely him singing the falsetto line. I'm talking about the line "I'm thinkin bout this whole world" following Carl's "Now here comes another day one". And I would have to agree it's among my top favorites. Just an amazing piece of music in every aspect.

I'm only really familiar with She Says She Needs Me, but I love the way it is arranged, excellent cellos and clarinets. Does the whole album use these kind of arrangements, or are they unique to this track?
