Going by confirmed concerts, which is the first actual band shot?

March 10, 1962, Bel Air Bay Club (that we're aware of). That predates the signing for Capitol by a good four months. The interesting/frustrating thing is, it's obviously taken by someone who was at least semi-pro, which means there may have been others.

It was for a newspaper article. I don't know which one it was, but local to the L.A. area I believe.

Hello Ian, here's one for you. From Billboard magazine dated 3rd October 1981 in the marriages section "Mike Love, of the Beach Boys, to model Catherine Martinez Sept 17 in Santa Barbara, Calif. Services were conducted by Wolfman Jack, who was ordained the same week."

Well it is a binaural mix, but surely that's still stereo? It's sure not mono!

"When I Grow Up" first officially appeared in stereo in 1993 on the GV box. And "Please Let Me Wonder (Stereo Remix)" was on WOTS.

I remember reading "Punchline" on the GV Box Set was found amongst some tapes that had been kept in Murry's office and subsequently with Audree. Does anyone know what else was on the tape containing "Punchline" and the other tapes?
This is from memory but I'm sure this information was from an interview with Mark Linett in Beach Boys Stomp magazine around 1993.

I wonder if the BB's not releasing those songs was because of Russ Titleman's involvement? Maybe copyright problems at the time.
It just seems strange that two of the best songs of that time weren't used.
