Zach returns! This is an excellent cover. You did a great job picking out the parts from the original, and your vocals are clean as can be. I'm looking forward to more of this!

Anyone else notice the slight pitch correction on Brian's vocal on Surf's Up (1967 Version) the second time he sings "columnated ruins do-MIN-o"?

I overlaid the version from TSS (2011) onto this version from Sunshine Tomorrow—you can listen here: http://picosong.com/WLm3 (notice the slight dissonance when he sings "domino").

Zach,

Just a note to say how impressed I am with your work. I've been following the YouTube videos for a while, and now watching your original productions, your skills are all the more apparent to me. I hope you keep writing and have a prosperous new year!

Hi all,

Every year for Christmas, my two brothers and I get together and record a few songs for the family. This year, we decided to have a go at "Vega-Tables"! Feel free to listen here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8ZsYvZmEzs&feature=youtu.be) and let me know what you think. Thanks, and here's to a great new year on the SmileySmile board!

I am attending the Durham, NC show on November 19. I look forward to hopefully meeting some fellow board members!

I purchased a VIP ticket, and, beside the confirmation of my order and digital download code, I haven't received any real communication from Ticketmaster or Brian's "people" regarding what time to show up for sound check, where to go, etc.

Anybody know if I should be receiving this kind of info in an email sometime soon or upon picking the tickets up at the venue?

I used to make BB memes when I first got into the group a few years back. Fun times. Nerdy times...

7  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / Smiley Smilers Who Make Music / New music from progressive AirBorn on: December 10, 2013, 03:50:18 AM
Hey fellow Smiley Smilers,

I play bass, keyboards, and sing in a progressive/fusion group called AirBorn. We're releasing a new single today called "Mudpond" (w/ b-side "Semi-Sweden"). The music is pretty out there, but I thought I'd share it and see what you think.

Here's the link to listen to the full songs: http://airborn.bandcamp.com/album/mudpond-semi-sweden

Thanks!

Wow! That was wild, I absolutely love it – Beach Boys fusion!

Bravo, Mr. Setola.

Howdy Smiley Smilers,

Long time lurker here, and first time poster. This afternoon I played around a bit with the H+V segment in "Do You Like Worms" as well as the "Mama Says" section of "Vega-Tables." I'd be glad if you'd give it a listen and provide some feedback (listen here: https://soundcloud.com/america1-1/do-you-like-worms-mama-says).

PLEASE NOTE: Yes, somehow I sang "Heroes and Villains..." instead of "Bicycles rider..." during the DYLW segment. Forgive that flub!
