Who knows? I wonder what Terry Sachen lyrical contribution was? I know this is the song Mike flat out refused to sing certain drug related lines for.-Really there is  a version oft"Hang on to your ego"  on The Good Vibrations Box Set  , that has ,Mike singing lead using the same lyrics,Brian, sang on the first issued CD of Pet Sounds

It should  have been released as a double album.Round up the fifteen  best oldies and this is possible.Make the second disc a group of songs by the band with some of Brian's new songs some vault tracks like Good Timing and the best the other boys had and you would have a respectable  mid seventies  lp .I think this is what Dennis and Carl wanted and exactly  what was voted down.I think when this happened  it sit in some of the bad blood and apathy  that would eventually  DESTROY the group as we knew it.

One more change replace The Lords Prayer with Back home. Loop de Loop should be on the double album somewhere .

Almost Summer should have been a Beach Boys song I bet it would have went top twenty when they realy needed a hit single

Isn't funny how Brian sounds perfectly natural singing Marcella after all these years of hearing Carl sing it   on record and in concert ? I remember a time in the late 70s and then again thru the whole Landy era when it was hard to imagine Brian recording a  NOTE  of new music  muchless  The road warrior he has become   and then recording the wealth of new music especially since 2000 -BWPS

Sorry AGD no disrespect meant  thats how isolated it seemed I was not even aware Beach Boys Stomp exsisted though somehow I did get a hold of Derek Bills great  auction

lists.  I had forgotten about David  Leaf 's Pet Sounds newsletter-where he actually reviewed Adult Child as a new release.

Of course Mr. Leaf's book about Brian and the Boys was the deepest insights we had of the group at that time.

BBFUN and the Add Some Music fan-zine were about the only games in town in the late 70s and early 80s
