Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Where is my topic????

I talked about "bootlegs" in private messages and, according to the rule mentioned above, I am allowed to do that. The problem is that I created a topic saying that I have rare Beach Boys CDs for sale. I NEVER mentioned "bootlegs" and everyone who tells the reverse is a lyar. The topic should not have been deleted because it did not break the rules (in my view).

What about BBs-related stuff – solo CDs, Wilson Phillips, solo and group appearances on other artists' albums (such as Richard Ashcroft, Elton John, Jeff Foxworthy…) - do they figure in the 2000CDs?
No solos, no various artists compilations, no tributes, no CDRs. “The Beach Boys” must be stated on the front cover of the CD as the unique artist. For example, “Salute to Nascar” or the Japanese compilation “I can hear music” (which includes lead vocals by Carl only) are not part of the collection. Same for the numerous Beach Boys with Jan & Dean CDs. All of this is debatable but I think that delimitated a perimeter is a crucial step for building a collection.

By "A-B" I mean have you compared the music on each, to check for any differences? Is the USA edition of TWGMTR's copy of Summer's Gone exactly the same as the Taiwanese version's Summer's Gone, for example?
Ah, no I don't. My ears are not accurate enough to ear these (possible) differences... Remember how it was difficult for me to describe WIBNTLA...

Assume this includes multiple versions of the same release? EG, I have maybe three copies of Beach Boys Classic Selected by Brian Wilson, all with the same tracklist but very slightly different packaging…
Of course! For example, I have 14 TWGMTR (USA, Europe, Canada, Japan (+promo), Australia, Taiwan, Thailand (+promo), Argentina (+promo), Brazil, Russia, Mexico). Have you A-B'ed them all for any differences? (or should that be A-B-C-D-E-F-G-H-I-J-K-L-M-N'ed them?) I don't know exactly what you mean. I have a list and on this list, the CDs are filed according to big categories: Albums, Christmas, Compilations, Promo, Singles, Bootlegs Live, etc.

I would love to read a list of what you have. That's a heck of a lot of CD's for one band. Like, woah, when you think about it. I second a pic, as well! I'd love to see this. Nothing like a juicy collection.
I have an EXCEL file (in French but easily readable for a non French speaker). Please send PM.

I'd love to see a photo of them! How many in % would you say actually have unique music/versions on them as opposed as reissues/editions/etc?
I will try to post a picture soon. Regarding your question, it is impossible to give an accurate answer without heavy computations... I would say about 50 (without bootlegs). So, 2.5%
