These appear to all be stereo (not mono) versions/mixes as well.

My box set just came.  It is beautiful!  Thank you to all that made this possible!

I love the sound quality, but not the mixes so far...so very much looking forward to my own mix.  I really like the Purple Chick Alternate version of Surf's Up.

Disc 2 - track 8 - Surf's Up (1st Movement) - after the "OK, here we go...a 1,2,3,4..." then the intro to SU - wow that just blows me away.  What an incredible composition....and to hear it in this quality.  Amazing.

I saw some BB movie with actors in the Fall of 2000.  Soon thereafter I was doing some research on the "smile album" and began downloading some tracks off Napster.  After hearing Surf's Up and Cabin, I purchased the 1993 Box set.  At that point, I was floored...and hooked.

Sometime in early 2001 I found SOT 16 & 17, Vigotone and Odeon boots.  I also purchased LLVS that year.  I made and distributed my first full SMiLE mix is 2003.

Within minutes of receiving the press release of the BWPS concert in London, I purchased tickets, then called my wife....yes, my first trip to Europe was based on the SMiLE concert.  Being there on 2/20/2004 was just unreal.  It was an amazing trip.

Can't wait for Nov 1.

Some of this stuff is impossible to mix in stereo, period.

I respectfully disagree on this.  With the tools today, I am sure anything could receive a stereo mix.  Hell, we probably could even do 5.1 mixes.

Just listen to the stereo H&V versus the mono mix on TSS.

H&V is unreal - the ending is sweetness!
