Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / 2012 Tour Merchandise (UK)

Does anyone know if there's a UK website for 50th Anniversary Tour merchandise? I went to the Wembley gig and due to a few too many beers forgot to go back to the stand at the end. I've found a US site but the currency is $ and I assume p&p from the States will be astronomical no doubt. I'dl like some memorabillia as it was an awesome all-time show.

I think England and Europe will get songs not being playing in the USA. I read an article from a few years ago that said the Beach Boys did a lot of songs they'd never play in the United States.
Such as?

The thing that annoys me about this is the lack of information. If they just came out and said "unfortunately we won't be playing any UK/IRE shows" then we could make the decision to buy tickets for other EUR shows or not. But by keeping us waiting, we have no idea whether to fork out for another show or run the risk of paying for two plus flights and hotels. Just say "yes" or "no" and we can do what we want.
Personally I think it's a great shame and I have never seen the BBs in their entirety before. Looks like I never will......
I completely agree. I would've made plans to get tickets abroad if I knew from the start that they weren't coming to the UK. It's too late now though as all the decent tickets will be gone, and in any case they still haven't said they're not coming to the UK, they've just said nothing! I don't actually think they will be coming now, I was hanging on to hope that they would be but it's looking extremely doubtful . I am feeling very disappointed to say the least, it doesn't seem like the UK fans will be rewarded for all the support we've given over the years. All that said, I still love the boys and the music!

"The Beach Boys have also confirmed concerts throughout Europe with additional European territories to be announced shortly. The Beach Boys will also perform shows in Japan, and concerts in Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia will be announced soon. All confirmed tour dates can be found on TheBeachBoys.com."
Where was this quoted from? I'm crossing everything for a UK date to be announced or even some more Europe if they definitely don't do UK.

I'll again say that anyone naming anything before 1980 or so is on drugs. ^_^
Maybe the 1979 "Here Comes The Night" would be my only real contender. Hate to say any BB songs are not superb, this one however is not the best by a long shot! The BB's can leave disco alone!

Even more gutted now after hearing the new song today. I can't get to any Europe dates due to the Olympics and my job. Superb new tune, doesn't look like I'm going to ever see the boys together. Really gutted. Read the latest press release about more tour dates to be announced including new European territories. (Actually, didn't the US used to be one of our territories?) Really? Anyone got a link to this news? I'd be very disappointed if the UK got missed out completely, we did give them a load of support in the early days and all the BW concerts I've been to have been packed. Come on boys!

They're probably scrambling to work something out for all the UK dates. I mean, look at the US dates....look at how many shows they've added because of sellouts. The demand has completely thrown them off so I'm sure they're just trying to figure out how to work out the UK dates in the same manner. I would guess that the issue is how to pace the entire thing. A few months ago, this was supposed to be a relatively quick 50 date worldwide tour. Now, they're doing about 47 shows JUST in the US. So obviously the original game plan has been thrown out the window...it seems like they're just trying to regroup and shuffle things around to accommodate for the change of plans.
I hope you're right. I'm now banking on UK dates being announced, if I knew they wouldn't be coming to the UK I would've bought some abroad somewhere; it's too late now to get foreign tickets of any decent quality. If they are working on it I wish they'd say somewhere, I'd rather know they were trying than continually hear nothing. It's not like they're new to this gig!
