Those mixes also lack the I Believe In Miracles section (which may or may not be truly meant for CWTL) as well as a section that appears immediately after Miracles only in bootlegs, with a prominent rhythmic element and wordless "aaaahs" from the Boys. I was hoping that part was going to finally see legitimate release this time around.

Same here.  I specifically searched this topic hoping to find that section.   Does anyone know what it was meant for?  Are we sure it is only in boots at this time?

Before those get here, may I be the first one to beg, plead etc..Mark & Alan to give us that version of Barnyard with the backing vocals on it that was included on the 2011 SMiLE Sessions review streams.
What version of Barnyard with backing vocals?

The Nashville Sounds DVD has the version with the talkover.  But are both versions just duets with Brian Wilson or is one of them with the Beach Boys?

Is there a Beach Boys version of this or just the duo with Brian Wilson?  The videos on YouTube just show Brian Wilson with talk-over on the intro and end.

The organ...I forgot all about that.  Thanks.

What is the difference with these alternate versions on the MIC Box?  I know that Meant For You is extended but is the shortened mix on Friends the same till the fade?

It's Over Now sounds like the same mix...just fuller and slower.

Wow, I came here to ask about this track and the second part on the boot and I find someone already asked the same question!

0:00-0:14 - I Believe In Miracles
0:14-0:35 - Same as 0:00-0:21 on Archaeology disc 5, track 7.

So...is the concensus that the 0:14-0:35 section is part of CWTL?

I'm not getting involved except to say that WIBNTLA is not a Beach Boy project and therefore would not be "PROPER" for an album produced by The Beach Boys.

There are plenty of solo tracks on Beach Boys albums.

Is there a list somewhere of solo tracks on Beach Boys albums?  I would like to know what they are.  I agree with SonoraDick...solo tracks should be kept on solo albums.

Getting Back to Drip Drop on YouTube...is that a Brian Wilson solo track or not?

I feel like I read that the mix of "Rock And Roll Music" on the Greatest Hits, Vol. 3: Best Of The Brother Years 1970-1986 was the single mix?

Yea, I just bought that CD.  The notes say it's an alternate version of the track from 15 Big Ones...Original Single Version.  They say the same thing for Susie Cincinnatti.

What's the difference between the Heroes And Villains single version found on the Hawthorne, CA set and the one on the new remastered Smiley Smile?

The Hawthorne one sounds terrible and this one sounds much less terrible.

I'm actually about to make a post concerning the 2012 stereo "Heroes", among other things.

What is wrong with the Hawthorne mix?  It sounds brighter to me.  Are there any differences such as additional instruments in the single vs the album?

How about Rock And Roll Music and Susie Cincinnati?  I'm comparing 15 Big Ones to Best Of The Brother Years and I can't hear the changes in the single versions.

What's the difference here?  I hear a speed difference but is there something else?

2 Questions...

1) Can someone with the new Surf's Up tell me if the out-of-sync vocal on the first verse of "Take A Load Off Your Feet" has been corrected?

2) Has anyone noticed the missing Darlin vocal of Carl's towards the end of "Darlin'"?
16  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Suggested....er....'Non Official' Recordings on: October 04, 2012, 03:07:42 PM
For the first two, I guess that's the closest we can get to Beach Boys versions.

For solo Brian, Landylocked or Soul Searchin' are needed for the Paley sessions.

Are any tracks on Landylocked Beach Boy tracks or are they all Brian solo?

Does anyone know if the out-of-sync first verse vocals on "Take A Load Off Your Feet" has been corrected on the remaster of Surf's Up?

Hi Seltaeb1012002.

Do any of your stereo mixes match the official TSS disc 1 mixes?  I mean have the same edits and overdubs, etc.

Thanks! Can you tell me what source for the vinyl rip you used, and if you think that's the best source, may be in a PM?

I think he used the one that comes with the Smile Sessions Set.  It has the hard intro.
21  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: SMiLE: Bring It On, Fanmixers. on: January 01, 2012, 10:48:25 AM

There is a strange edit/click noise just a little moment after the 2nd chorus has started, and the first one doesn't have that.

I don't hear it.

Heroes And Villains Stereo mix - 2nd chorus error fixed using the 1st chorus

What 2nd chorus error?
