I'd like to see a ban on resurrecting any threads over a year old, for any reason. I hate the "no top posting!" mania some anal folks have that dates back to when DOS operating systems still roamed the earth.  If a person finds an interesting topic in search, then they can cut and paste and quote an item from it and start a new discussion, but start a new thread. It's annoying to see a new post and think there's fresh content, when the first post on the thread is from years ago, and the thread is full of links that no longer work and red x's where photos used to be.

It befuddles me why people get so angry and take so seriously the bumping of older threads on internet messageboards. People get real worked up about it, don't they?

I don't understand either, I read Smiley Smile for pleasure, and don't get worked up about the content.

Amazed to hear the velvety vocals of Brian Wilson all over the pounding existential angsts of Pink Floyd's miserablist epic 'The Wall'? You would have been, if they hadn't wiped his entire contribution and got session singers to reproduce it.

Did Brian really record backing vocals for the Wall?

This is gonna be my first Beach Boys show. I'm so excited!

I liked what Brian had to say, but like everyone else really missed Van Dyke's input. I feel his input was almost more important that the other Beach Boys' input. But i did enjoy what seemed like honest essays from Al, Mike, and Bruce. I also enjoyed the quotes from Dennis and Carl.

It really is a shame they never saw this release through.

My local Best Buy had 3 3cd sets and 2 deluxe boxes. I didn't see any single cds though. I was also able to get mine when Best Buy opened at midnight for the game Uncharted 3. Which was AWESOME!
