Hi all. Ive been away from this site for a few years but recently returned to find out whether anyone agreed with me about the UK tour being cancelled due to poor ticket sales and not the reason we were given and it appears alot of ppl do. Any my question is relatin to L&M and given his history i am expectin a law suit from mike love pretty soon about the film 'not representing him in true light' etc etc and use of the beach boys name etc etc. Its only a matter of time isnt it? Im surprised it hasnt happened already

Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Acoustic Album??

after listening to how surprisingly good the rolling stone set is it got me thinking.
How great would it be to have them release an acoustic album of the classics striped of the production and showcasing the brilliant vocal arrangements, instead of another planned career spanning greatest hits compilation (like we really need another one of those)
Its something they've not done officially before to my knowledge (party dosen't count) and I would foam at the mouth at the prospect of a whole album of acoustic BB music.

I am very surprised mikes excellent bass vocals at this little gig. I would like to think that this is 100% live and if so it had made the reunion worth it in every way and a new great album is the icing on the cake. I feel like i did when i was 12 and discovering them for the first time.

Been at work all day just tried to get tickets and the best available are in E3 right at the back could be sold out very soon. Im goin to gamble and hold off to see if any other dates are added 'due to popular demand'

Isnt it time sounds like a love child of male ego and its gettin late. I LOVE IT!!! I feared the cheesy lyrics would ruin the album but having only listened to it all the way through a couple of times im already singing along to most of it.
Theres something to be said about that and the direct nature of the lyrics. They fit the songs very well.
I put this album on a par with LA album

Hello everyone.
My name is JP im 31 and have been a massive BB fan since the 1st time i heard I get around in the back of my dads car aged 13. There was something about the sound of that song that made me go weak inside, after pestering my dad for a few days i finally managed to get him to buy me a greatest hits and was astounded by the harmonies, melodies etc.
Fast forward to many years later, i now own every album on record/cd (yes even still crusin) I was always thought of at school as being a bit wierd for my fascination with TBB while everyone else was into rave/dance but i learnt to live with it and although i like many other bands there will never be one that comes close to the magic that surrounds Brian and the lads for me.
Ive seen Brian twice and will be going again in September I dont want to go and see Mike and Bruce cos for me seeing them will burst the bubble as they are happy to be a travelling jukebox whereas brian still comes up with new albums.
My favourite BB album right now is Friends but that will change tomorrow depending on my mood lol My Favourite BW solo album is lucky old sun.
I love the new AJ song Dont Fight the Sea (nice to hear those harmonies again on a new track)
I write my own songs and play most instruments my fav being the piano and i like to think my style of playing is close to BW style.
Thanks for listening
JP
