I use a PC that belongs to another person in this house and she was offended by this sort of thing appearing on her computer. I hope this is sorted out because if this happens again I will have to cease using this site.
So you're saying you don't want your part of the money that's been set aside, as part of the settlement, for people who've been traumatized and offended from receiving the emails? Good, because today's the last day to make the claim - more for us! Maybe you should have your own email account that the other person living in your house can't access, too (just an idea).

Why do you park in a driveway, but drive on a parkway? Also, why is there no "delete" button when you start a thread that you wish you hadn't?

Providing that no one kills or maims you, the Army's a great experience - I loved it. You'd make life-long friends, you'd acquire an invaluable self-discipline that would serve you well later, and you'd have some incredible experiences. There is a lot of hard physical work involved but, and I know it's difficult for civilians to understand this, almost everyone I knew in the Army had a really good time - they do take care of you. If you actually decide to do it, be aware that once you sign you can't request anything from them; as an example, lots of new soldiers want to do the parachute thing and don't realize that if you don't request Airborne school before you sign you will not get to do it. Once you sign, you're theirs, except for anything you insisted be put in the contract.

And I believe he has the right to express it, wherever he sees fit. How about not only do we lay down the hatchet and lay down our weapons, but we relax all bans. Hey, I'm trying to ban this "Old Rake" guy, but all of my moderator buttons are gone! What happened?! That's it, I quit.

Bubba, you're completely right. If everyone would laughas they threw away the key on a male teacher whose excuse is "Hey, I'm bipolar and horny!", so should they do the same thing in this case - it's no different.

Molesting? Are they sure? If MY Comprehensive school teachers had been cute, horny 23 y/o's, I'd have let them "molest" me, too.
Sure, you'd have let them, but that doesn't change that it's molestation: the minor can't legally make sound choices about what's good for their own welfare. The teachers' unions are critically important for a few reasons. Sure, there are important reasons for there to be a teachers union; it's just too bad that it has been, for ages, one of the most notoriously corrupt, least comprehensible, least accountable, and most unabashedly politically driven unions in existence. When kids tell me that they're thinking of going into teaching, I never fail to tell them that it's a noble calling and should be a very rewarding career in lots of ways, the main exception being that they'll have to join that particular (ugh!) union.

Those kids look happy and healthy and secure, and if anyone's gonna have a bunch of kids, these parents look like a good choice to do it. To identify them as extremists with white teeth (goodness no, not white teeth!) or Darwin-haters, from a picture and description as being anti-abortion, is no better than saying that the identifier must be a grey-toothed anti-life Darwin-loving extremist. It's all nonsense, but one thing is for sure - not everyone, when presented with a picture of a big, loving family, is prone to speculating about if Mom's plumbing is getting worn out. In fact, it takes a certain level of juvenility...

Lou Reed -- Berlin (have to second this one)>
Sure, because it's such an uplifting collection of tunes. And also because you can get it from the cut-out bins for a dollar-sixty-nine (oh, not anymore, sure, but you could at one time, but if you get a time machine don't go back and buy like 20 copies as an investment, because your girlfriend will just forget to pay the storage bill when you're out of town and you'll lose them, and everything else you own, you miserable sod - at least if you're like me, or actually are me, in which case you have my sympathies, and where the hell is my heart-shaped billboard icon anyway, dammit, and why is it 55 degrees in January, it was very nice candlelight and Dubonnet on ice).
