Brian DID cover that This Could Be The Night, on that Nilsson tribute album.
There's a great post about it at that For The Love Of HArry site called "The Peculiarly Incestuous 30 Year Journey of Harry Nilsson's "This Could Be The Night" (1965-1995)" and has downloads of numerous versions of the tune, including Brian's.
