My mom is a fan, especially of Pet Sounds. She was the first person I heard talk about how great of an album it is. My dad and my sister dismiss them as surfing music, which they don't care for. I've heard my Grandpa say that they were probably his favorite band in college, and him and my Grandma saw Mike and Bruce a few years back.

Why do I get the feeling that this won't come out until 2056?

Same here. My local classic rock station played "Dance, Dance, Dance" once, but that's it. My local oldies station is a bit better; I've heard them play "Darlin'" and "Heroes And Villians".

I mentioned this in another topic a long time ago, but one of the paragraphs on the grammar section on my PSAT was about SMiLE. I was probably the only person there who knew what it was talking about.

My attempt at a more accurate version of the 1971 Beach Boys. I'll admit that Al came out horribly. That may have to do with the fact that I finished him at 2:30 in the morning.

Same here. I listened to those non-stop during the summer between junior and senior year, which was immediately after a girl I had fallen madly in love with rejected me. They gave me something I could connect to; a sense that there was someone who understood.

Beyond the obvious answers of Pet Sounds and Smile, There are a few that  come really close for me. Today would be flawless if it weren't for "Bull  Session With The Big Daddy". Wild Honey would be flawless if it weren't for it's absolutely horrid production. Sunflower has a few weaker tracks, but the only one I outright dislike is "At My Window".
