1  Smiley Smile Stuff / The Beach Boys Media / Dennis Wilson piano sheet on: April 20, 2010, 11:06:03 AM
Hi!I have collected some of Dennis songs available on piano sheet.
There's very few of his unfortunately. The only ones I got are the 3 songs he made on sunflower,
and the "cuddle up"version of captain and tennile.
My question is:is there anything else  available for piano?

I really like this lp.It's a very easy listening 70's lp, unfocused sure, but still interesting. The disco song don't bother me at all(though I prefer the original)you can dance to and it's the longer song of the boys.Besides,It's the last album with a contribution made by Dennis(I really like his vocals here). If they had replaced "going south"by "it's a beautiful day"I would gave it a 5 but it'll be 4 for me.Overall it's a better effort than MIU.
I Love the 70's Beach boys era! Afro

The alternate version of "Wind of change"is ten times better than the original one.
With the little vocal intro added and no vocal interjection(by Alan I guess)during the "won't last forever"ending tag.
It's works  better than the final one.I fell it pretty sensitive for a song without Brian, Dennis or Carl contributions.
And sad concerning the " future"of the band at the time.Just listen  it! Smiley

Téléchat was one of my fav series as a kid too.Roland Topor was a great artist! That serie is not only for children, the adults can found a lot of impish humor on it,that's for both in fact.
Thank you for the link! This version is much better. Smiley

Cool,I'll check it out!

(hey phirnis, you got a "téléchat" avatar, that was a satirical and goofy tv series for kids,I doubt that it was translated in english,do you understand french?)

their best late sixties album.Much better produced than wild honey or friend.
Make me feel of a compil of sort, there's not a lot of unity there, but timeless tunes(time to get alone,i can hear music,I went to sleep...)I don't like "Cotton field"and that's the only one.(never heard the 45t version)Dennis is not at his peak but still  make good ones.
4,5/5

Totaly agree with you lance! And I will add 15 big ones to  come with miu & bb85.
KTSA is not a masterpiece  but that's not that bad.Sunshine is weak and WGGT is just awful but the others songs are listenable.
Their voices are in a better shape than on the 76-78era.And Carl is very present overall.the sound is slick but not with that 80's cold synthetiser feeling.
That the last album with dennis(even if it's only in a little apparence on endless harmony),
so that's was the "beach boys" for the last time.                                                                                                                     Still love them that way than what came after!3/5

I'm a die hard fan of Dennis, that lp is a lost masterpiece of the70's.The legacy edition is a must have!

The best beach boys lp as a band.Dennis shines on it.Cool cool water is the best song to drank a cold drink during a hot summertime! The harmony vocal are bright, dreamy and sweet;seemed they were feeling good together at that time.My fav album of the boys! 5/5

The  first lp I bought from the boys. That's  a bland album but still has it's powerful moments(the BW ending trilogy)
Hope I could live enough time to hear"Wouldn't be nice to live again"!
That's the beautiful cover of the band.(along with holland) Cool

The most underrated BB's lp of the 70's.
I like all the songs on it,there's a peaceful feeling throughout it(with disturbed and beautiful moment by Dennis)not other lp of the boys sounds like that!Ricky and Blondie were the best outside musicians that the band has ever have.
Strangely, that's the only  BB's lp of the 70's without any outtakes(or rumoured traks).
Bruce Johnston has written "endless harmony"during these sessions but left the band soon after.Too bad!
Is anyone has something to adds about the making of this album, outtakes or anything else,
I would be happy to hear it! Smiley
