Is there any chance that Brian does another Pet Sounds tour?
Anything's possible, but they said in 2006 that those would be the last ever Pet Sounds shows, and haven't shown much inclination to go back on that. In general, Brian's tours now seem to fall into two types -- performing whatever his latest album is, and straight greatest-hits shows. What do you think the Ohio show in July will be? That's a tough call since Al and Dave will be there too. Damn good question, given that he seems to be recording right now… wonder if there'll be a release before the gig? Given the venue and location, I'm betting meat & potatoes GH. What's that supposed to mean? It means that the setlist would mainly consist of well known hits. No, i mean, what is he implying about the venue and location? it's nowheresville man Really? Dayton, OH, Nowheresville? It must be special to them since it's the only place they picked

Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / BB Radio Show

Hi everyone, My name's Austin (not the screen name "Austin" though). I wasn't really sure where to post this, but I've been on here a little while, and thought it might be fun for some of us to actually discuss the group through an online radio show. I set up a program called Beach Boys Babble over at Blog Talk Radio. The first show is tomorrow at 6:30pm EST. Sorry for the short notice, but if you'd like to call in you're more than welcome to. Feel free to use Skype as well. I'll be talking about the latest BB news and hopefully we can get a good discussion going and hear some opinions. This first show is kind of an experiment. It's only a half hour long, and I'll make it longer once I see some growth in interest. I'm also looking to take on a co-host as well if anyone is interested, feel free to email me at beachboysbabble@gmail.com . Thanks for reading, and I look forward to hearing from some of you tomorrow. - Austin P.S. Here's the link: www.blogtalkradio.com/beach-boys-babble

Not meaning this in a sarcastic way, but care to share some of these snide remarks? All I've seen this guy do is post some of his awesome BB covers. Oh, and why has AGD been calling everyone that questions him a troll? Just sayin', we all need a little devil's advocate every now and then. Back to the topic at hand though, I remember I was so psyched about hearing young Brian singing Wouldn't It Be Nice live, then I heard it, and who do they give the lead to? Why, none other than Mr. Algonquin Q. Jardine of course

I'm with Jonas on this one. That's Brian's piano playing by the way, octave bass and all. Listen to Brian's singing at the beginning of the Spring Promo with Diane and Brian. You'll hear it, we did.

That was a great quote. Props on the Foskett comment by the way. I can't stand the guy's falsetto either. As for Mike's comment, Brian is almost 70 and his voice has taken quite a beating, by means of cocaine, tobacco, Landy drugs, etc. I think the equipment is shot beyond repair, if you know what I mean. Brian's voice is an entirely different instrument. To quote some song I heard, it's sad to watch a sweet thing die. On a brighter note, Mike, Bruce, and Al's voices haven't drastically changed, as far as I can tell. Also, there are people like this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpgfIwQkw_YG'day indeed

Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Mike's Falsetto?

Other than parts here and there on All I Wanna Do, can anybody recall any examples of Mike's falsetto (or high range) in the past? I recall hearing about a version of Please Let Me Wonder with Mike on lead, and hearing that it sounded strange.
