Thoroughly recomend his album 'Watercolour Day' because it is amazing. It's like Brian Wilson meets Elliot Smith! Great stuff !

Hi Mark

When you remaster Beach Boys material do you use digital mastering tools. If so what software do you use?

@ Smile Holland

Thanks for your post. I usually read the board on my lunch break but don't usually have time to post.  Judging by the reaction to this its better if I remain as a reader and not a writer.

All the best

David

Excuse me! But this board is for 'other discussions' and I have every right to mention
and support other good music I have discovered. You will note that this board contains a number of discussions about a variety of bands so I don't see what your problem is

Just got an album called Shifting Sands by The Sunchymes.
Very good album. Lots of Beach Boys sounding harmonies, chord changes and arrangements.

You hear that Pet Sounds and Smile are a big influence here especially on tracks like 'Down at pallisades' . Thoroughly recomended. The myspace page is www.myspace.com/thesunchymes and cd baby page is
www.cdbaby.com/artist/THESUNCHYMES. A real treat for Brian Wilson fans.
8  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / Smiley Smilers Who Make Music / Brian Wilson/BB's influenced music on the net on: February 08, 2009, 03:56:20 AM
I set up this page which is kinda like a listing of BW influenced bands on the net. Check it out as there are some good bands/musicians on there!
