Well so much for lurking. This thread means it's time to pop in and tell this community that Scott is telling it like it was. I was there. Klein Auditorium, Bridgeport Connecticut. I was BLOWN AWAY by WTK. It was amazing. And while I'm at it, as a "used t be" naysayer of Mike's shows, I have made a complete about face and really warmed up to them. Last night's gig as well as the July 3rd in Danbury proved to me that the band is doing a lot of work to create just the right sound. And yes the audience LOVED it! You couldn't keep me in my seat. And while I'm at it I'll just say that Warmth, DWB, THWFOS and Betsy were totally awesome!
A hearty thank you Scott and all the guys for all the effort. It is definitely paying off!

Ok, I'm going to be honest here. This was my initial reaction, and I'm ashamed to admit it. But of course, when reality hit, I was very upset. I was in my kitchen with my wife and the "news" came on. I stopped cold in my tracks, totally freaked, because they said "one of the Beach Boys has died". All I could think of was that Brian was dead, and I started hyperventilating. Then as the picture went further, it was Dennis. I'm very sorry to say that I was relieved. I know...shoot me. I was always so worried about Brian that the shock just made me scared, then relieved. And then, of course, totally confused and frightened that this could even happen, the whole drowning thing. It was quite a shock, for sure. At the very least, I was grateful for seeing Dennis live several times. He was one of a kind indeed. And thankfully we have his wonderful music to treasure always.

C'mon Clay....we're talkin "listening" to music. I rarely meet musicians who don't. All the more do they need it as a huge part of their lives. And its not about his music anyway. Furthermore, when the heck was the last time Brian wrote anything? (2 pieces from early this yr?)

"I don't listen to much music these days". Ok this always bugs me. Streisand is another one. Two incredibly huge MUSICIANS and they don't listen to music? I suppose it's more thrilling to watch the news? Shouldn't he go back and read where he talks about how much he listens to Nat Cole, or Rosemary Clooney? How the heck can people change their minds every next day? Yeh, I love the man, but who's quirkier???
