The Badger culls are due to begin in the UK in June 2013, it’s now or never for the badgers! Brian May has launched a petition so they can deliver 250,000 voices against the badger cull to ensure that the Government can’t ignore this any longer. From Spotify. 6th February 1998, American singer and guitarist Carl Wilson from The Beach Boys died aged 51 after a long battle with lung cancer. Wilson was diagnosed with brain and lung cancer in early 1997. A founding member of the Beach Boys he sang lead vocals on “God Only Knows”, “Good Vibrations,” and “I Can Hear Music.” After his elder brother Brian’s retirement from the stage in 1965, Carl became the de facto leader of the band onstage as well as the band’s in-studio leader, producing the bulk of the albums 20/20, Sunflower, Surf’s Up, and Holland. http://open.spotify.com/user/thisdayinmusic/playlist/3ZwEbM3nabDdfHmdgD3xzl

On the day Barack Obama (August 4, 1961) was born Bobby Lewis was at #1 with 'Tossin’ And Turnin’
Obama shares his birthday with Louis Armstrong who had the 1968 UK No.1 single 'What A Wonderful World.'
On the day Sarah Palin was born, The Beatles were at #1 with 'I Want To Hold Your Hand'. And on that day (Feb 11th 1964), The Beatles made their live concert debut in the US at the Washington Coliseum. Over 350 police surrounded the stage to keep the 8,000 plus screaming fans in control. One police officer who found the noise so loud, stuck a bullet in each ear as ear plugs.
