allmusic gives 4/5 to almost anything that gets released. It gives 4.5 and 5 to many that dont deserve it. Slightly optimistic critics at that site for my taste but great for the group! They gave 2/5 to a great Rufus wainwright album and some really good mando diao albums. So I have my issues with them ha. I think TLOS got a 3/5 from them

And yet.
Go to the iTunes store main page - NOTHING.
Go to the iTunes main page for just Music - NOTHING.
Let's not start getting disgusted yet, Capitol might actually get it right this time.. I doubt it though to be fair, i don't think there's any point on advertising an unreleased album on iTunes Actually, you're incorrect: on the front page they advertise prominently all the upcoming releases. The Beatles' Yellow Submarine songbook (which will also be released tomorrow) has been the most easily viewable thing on that whole page for weeks now. But there's no sign of the Beach Boys, even when you navigate to the music only page of the store. In general, I think many people on this board tend to see through rose-colored glasses. It's understandable given that by coming to this board every day, you're basically surrounded by those who've drunk the Kool-Aid. But when it comes to the Beach Boys' overall stature and presence in the public mind, I find there's a gaping discrepancy between what people here want to believe and what the truth actually is. Well you don't have to lump me into your generalization after one comment. I don't go on itunes' home page much, and after I looking at it, i suppose you're right. That doesn't mean I'm clueless on the Beach Boys' public stature (or have Anyang to do with it). Please tell me what you think I believe about the band's public stature.

wirestone seems to think david isn't on the album.
No one has yet to provide me with a single moment where he's audible. I think the notion that he's actually on the record is a polite fiction. you're talking guitars right? you don't think he plays guitars "audibly" on the album because of the other guitarist credited isn't someone you put on the sideline?

I can't think of any actors out of my head atm that looks close enough to him but then again, they're doing atm a new film about Hitchclock and Anthony Hopkins has the role, look how incredible it looks like with bunch of make up and stuff : http://cinema.critictoo.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Anthony-Hopkins-en-Hitchclock.jpgwho would have thought ? so yeah, maybe Christian Bale could do the part! anyway, it's a shame nothing is coming out yet but i guess we can be happy with the fact they're doing something with Dennis Wilson and that the amazing Aaron Eckhart is taking the role, can only be good! it'd be a stretch for bale to be childlike, plus he was already dylan. I'd be curious if he could pull it off.

Hmmm... The chorus of "Shelter" is very familiar. If you listen closely to "Thinkin Bout You Baby" sung by Shannon Marie, you will notice the relationship to "Shelter" is very obvious. Since ""Thinkin Bout You Baby" was later redone by Brian as the know very well known "Darlin". And yes "Darlin" aund "Shelter" are the same song. ;
it's been discussed a few times
