"Reminds me of Richard Carpenter's comment about Karen's death in the Behind The Music episode on the Carpenters: "When I think of all the great records we could have made...". It's your SISTER, idiot, who cares about the records!"
Nice one, Ian.

You wag!
Seriously, he should be locked up too. I just dread to think what other showbiz stars were up to at the time (and, yeah, I know about Jimmy Page and the 14 year-old and that David Bowie had (allegedly) been there first when she was 13) - including some of the Boys...
What is it that Gaines says about Dennis? If the girl was underage, he would only go down on her...?

Wow. The ignorance here is stunning. Reminds me of when I was in Russia years ago and several people I met had such a narrow, bigoted view of the west from years of listening to (and not questioning) tired demagogues and their view of the world.

"I know, maybe they shyed away because of the dark psychological and political themes, but still... Wasn't it a bit too late in the game to worry about wholesomeness?"
Seems odd that Mr Positivity wouldn't but his sidekick, Mr Conservative, would. Maybe we're looking too deep here. Maybe they just couldn't be arsed. BRian wasn't in a fit state to record with his own band, never mind anyone else's.

There's a story about Toni Tenille going to see a Floyd show and a trendier than thou fan turning to her asking her what on earth was someone like her doing there - then she explained she actually sang on the album!

God, no. By now, they'd have sold their souls playing endless blues shows/albums. I like the BB because of what they are not what someone else wants so they could be more popular amongst the macho dick-centric crowd. I would have been quite happy if they had explored certain musical routes open to them, sure - but they were routes that they created in the first place (the SMiLE and Holland era or the potential for more DW songs as opposed to 'summer is fun.'

Well, TWGMTR was a bit flat in places, but it wasn't only Brian who was off. To be honest, I think the arrangement doesn't work. It's as if it needs an extra voice. Do It Again was about par, though Mike seemed to be a little weak, as he did on NPR and on the BBC radio show; Barbara Ann was pretty good - for once and the arsehole who is forever coming on here saying, "I don't hear Brian," was surely satisfied...

The bitching about auto-tune (smetimes by people who didn't have a clue but were just jumping on the band wagon) was reflected in some of the reviews by writers who read these boards and also wouldn't have a clue what auto-tune was.
