Title: Vocal excersises
Post by: Don't Back Down on February 06, 2006, 03:31:32 PM
Hey everyone, I need some help here (what else is new? heh) Anyway, I need some help on projecting my voice and not making it sound all over the place. Is my main thing to just stay in key? I've been getting better after each demo recoding I've done of myself. Thanks!

Comcast Cable's on Demand section has a vocal training series. It's with the guy who apparently worked with Brian Wilson at some point within the past ten years.

It will make you sound like a moron singing away in the fashion he tells you to, but i've noticed some positive changes from it.

If I had any tip, it would be this:  Just sing a lot.  Every chance you get.  Obviously warm up, don't overdo it, etc...  But just sing, keep relaxed while doing it, and you'll improve.  Hum when singing isn't feasible.
