I have a new song up, its a 6/8 ballad with a slight BB influence called 'Merry Christmas to me', its a melancholy number about Chrsitmas on your own. I like the song, especially the chord on "me" at about 1:02 (and thereafter when that bit comes up). Cool guitar tone on the solo, too, and I like the diminished chords at the end of the solo. Thanks for the feedback Luther, I know you're not keen on Christmas music that much, neither am I funnily enough so on my new Xmas EP I tried to write songs that weren't cloying or cliche ridden - recently I sat through Billy Idols Christmas album and that was an experience I would not recommend! Glad you like the song, it started off as a sort of Led Zeppelin inspired bluesy number but ended up a bit differently! |
