Title: Porn Post by: Cam Mott on September 13, 2006, 04:21:19 AM Mods,
I couldn't figure out how to notify you privately or officially in the time I have but I am receiving unwanted personal messages for porn sites from the latest member and they imply it is going to other members as well. I think the board has been punked. Title: Re: Porn Post by: Rocker on September 13, 2006, 04:22:53 AM I did receive the same PNs
Title: Re: Porn Post by: LostArt on September 13, 2006, 04:24:54 AM As did I.
Title: Re: Porn Post by: Pablo. on September 13, 2006, 04:28:47 AM So did I.
Daniel Craig should be trying to be a decent Bond instead of spamming us... Title: Re: Porn Post by: Jeff Mason on September 13, 2006, 04:37:55 AM Everyone's getting them -- even Smile Shop folks who aren't on this board anymore:

Title: Re: Porn Post by: smile-holland on September 13, 2006, 05:26:50 AM So did I. Daniel Craig should be trying to be a decent Bond instead of spamming us... As did I. And I don't think this "Daniel Craig" really cares about our opinion on this or on Beach Boys topics... If you haven't done it yet, it's time to at least hide your email-address in your profile. Title: Re: Porn Post by: Jeff Mason on September 13, 2006, 05:44:13 AM It may prevent spam harvesting, but hiding the email address won't prevent PM spam. Don't know what Chuck will do to prevent this without having some form of registration process.
Title: Re: Porn Post by: Old Rake on September 13, 2006, 06:03:51 AM GOOD GOD!
The picture of the giant "guy with a phallus" is disturbing! Title: Re: Porn Post by: Charles LePage @ ComicList on September 13, 2006, 06:56:06 AM When the messages were brought to my attention, I took the following actions:
1) I banned the "user" and apologized to Billy and Joe for overstepping my bounds, explaining it appeared to be an emergency situation. 2) I changed the registration process so that Billy or Joe will have to approve any new registrations. Previously, you had to reply to a registration email, but clearly that's not enough to prevent spam. Hopefully that will take care of that. And I'm sorry for what happened. Title: Re: Porn Post by: smile-holland on September 13, 2006, 08:11:03 AM There's only one person that has to apologise and that's that Craig dude.
Thanks for trying to keep this board as save and pleasant as possible. Title: Re: Porn Post by: Old Rake on September 13, 2006, 08:26:59 AM Just make sure you don't go see "Casino Royale," that's your best way to get back at him!
(i.e., its' just an alias!) Title: Re: Porn Post by: Charles LePage @ ComicList on September 13, 2006, 09:16:53 AM BTW, the email address of the spammer:
donald92135@yahoo.com Is well known for spam. Title: Re: Porn Post by: PMcC on September 13, 2006, 10:55:21 AM My first thought was.."is that real?" followed by, " hey, what is this even doing here?" For quick identification of this Craig guy, simply look at the center of the picture he sent, and you will see his image....
Title: Re: Porn Post by: PongHit on September 13, 2006, 10:57:33 AM Yeah, I got 2 copies of an identaical spam... guess he hit us all?
Title: Re: Porn Post by: donald on September 13, 2006, 11:09:27 AM In case anyone is thinking this donald is responsible, I just want to say that the person spamming or whatever is some OTHER donald. And, by the way, I don't seem to have any inappropriate pms.
Last pm I got was in June. Title: Re: Porn Post by: Aegir on September 13, 2006, 11:13:34 AM They're no longer in my inbox, but they were this morning.
Title: Re: Porn Post by: donald on September 13, 2006, 11:19:36 AM Correction. This stuff was in my regular email but wasn't indicated on this web page.
I deleted it but it seemed to take a couple of tries. Like a virus. :o Title: Re: Porn Post by: Charles LePage @ ComicList on September 13, 2006, 11:37:57 AM I've reported the incident to Yahoo and to the originator of the IP address, which was United Airlines via Juno. I'm guessing "Daniel" spoofed the IP.
Title: Re: Porn Post by: Charles LePage @ ComicList on September 13, 2006, 03:06:49 PM I received this from my web host:
Reference number: LTK7501784088X Please use this ticket number in any correspondence with us. Subject: Re: [DH2.NET] Violation of AUP -- smileysmile.net -- ACTION REQUIRED Dear Charles LePage, Thank you for your prompt action and response; it's very much appreciated. I see that you manual review new signups for your website. I'll recommend also confirm their email address as well; something they need to click on in a confirmation email of some sort to confirm their email address. Thank you. Sincerely, DH2-Marc Lubin Title: Re: Porn Post by: Daniel S. on September 13, 2006, 04:37:41 PM I got the porn pm's too. I didn't know the guy playing James Bond liked sharing his gay porn with people. :o
Title: Re: Porn Post by: Jason on September 13, 2006, 07:50:27 PM Am I the only one here who thinks this isn't a big deal? It's not like you had to open the bloody links they sent anyway.

Title: Re: Porn Post by: Sir Rob on September 14, 2006, 06:09:44 AM I know someone who knows Daniel Craig's mum. She's been saying he's been spending too much time up in his bedroom lately.

For a start how did this Daniel Craig get my E mail address? it is not on my details on this site.
I use a PC that belongs to another person in this house and she was offended by this sort of thing appearing on her computer. I hope this is sorted out because if this happens again I will have to cease using this site. Title: Re: Porn Post by: Daniel S. on September 17, 2006, 01:57:47 PM :deadhorse
BOO HOO, BOO HOO! Title: Re: Porn Post by: hrtshpdbox on September 20, 2006, 08:56:33 AM I use a PC that belongs to another person in this house and she was offended by this sort of thing appearing on her computer. I hope this is sorted out because if this happens again I will have to cease using this site. So you're saying you don't want your part of the money that's been set aside, as part of the settlement, for people who've been traumatized and offended from receiving the emails? Good, because today's the last day to make the claim - more for us! Maybe you should have your own email account that the other person living in your house can't access, too (just an idea).Title: Re: Porn Post by: Charles LePage @ ComicList on September 22, 2006, 05:24:47 AM Hello,
