Brian raved about them, and on the Party album Mike told Brian that you shouldn't fool around with an Everly Brothers song. Hopefully he and Phil are making more heavenly harmonies. The Everlys were always known for their harmonies of course. What gets overlooked though is what a fantastic in his own singer Don was and just what a great voice he had (and for that matter Phil as well). The man had soul! Songs like Bye Bye Love and Love Hurts still make for great listens. Hard to think of many other musical giants from the 50s that are still around, besides Jerry Lee Lewis and Sonny Rollins. R.I.P.
