Mike ignores Feel Flows, pretends it doesn't exist, and instead, today on his Facebook page, he shares what REALLY matters to him, promoting his fake version of 'The Beach Boys' being a nominee at the well respected, totally legit, and not at all laughable... Casino Entertainment Awards 2020!!!

The legacy is crumbling in days.... :-\

Naw, it's just a ripple in the pond. I had never heard of those awards before today. And someone else could win. Not that many live shows being played in 2020, by anybody.

Nobody heard about these stupid awards until today. The point being, Mike chooses this nothingburger "ripple in the pond" stupid award show to post about, yet when it comes to Feel Flows, it's crickets. And worse than merely crickets, it's actually him trying to kill his late cousin's material on the set.

Just a sad commentary about where that pathetic and deluded man's priorities are. He has a viagra erection for this awards show because it's ALL ABOUT HIM, and an aversion to Feel Flows because it's not all about him.

I'm with Emdeeh on this.  Have never heard of this award until reading this thread.  Sure, it's a cheesy-sounding award. But not buying all this talk about "diminished legacy."  Laugh about this kind of thing along with the Trump thing or cry about them, but I think at this point it really doesn't affect the legacy.

Look at it this way... If all the stupid, lame stuff they did in the '80s/'90s (Wipeout with the Fat Boys, Baywatch, mutliple Stamos sitcoms, etc etc) couldn't kill the legacy of the band... nothing can.  If after all that, we still got career-spanning box sets, Pet Sounds boxes, BWPS, Smile boxes, high-quality documentaries, the Love & Mercy movie, Brian getting Kennedy Center honors, etc etc., it's pretty clear that the legacy of the band is basically bullet-proof.

So, yes, "greatest casino lounge act of 2020" is yet another asinine thing for Mike Love to be bragging about.  But let's face it.  It likely means more to ML to win some schlocky award like this than for, say, Pet Sounds to show up at the top of critics' poll.  That's his thing.  You can't change people... especially octogenarians.  This is the age-old art vs. commerce tension that's existed for the Beach Boys since the mid-'60s.   It is what it is.

I think Pepe Aguilar has a good shot at taking this....
