Title: A Sunflower Birthday Celebration! A new Youtube video to mark the occasion
Post by: Summertime Blooz on August 30, 2020, 07:21:33 PM
For the Sunflower album's 50 Year Golden Anniversary on August 31, 2020 I have made a new video and placed it on YouTube. The video is for the fan favorite song 'All I Wanna Do'. I hope you enjoy my "Video Offering" if you check it out. Let's all raise a glass today for this Beach Boys milestone.

Really nice video! And thanks for all your time and effort in providing us with your take on the additional lyrics.

Now all we need is the FEEL FLOWS box set to further delve into the incredible music The Beach Boys were recording during this era.

Love this!
Also great to see the "mystery lyrics". I didn't check out the thread on this board, so it's the first time I actually read them. After so many years, the track still has it's surprises.

One big surprise is that I swear I can hear Mike quoting their recent hit single 'Do It Again' in the fade.

Are you planning on making a video for "The Trader"? That one would lend itself quite well, I'd guess, for it's historical lyrics. On the other hand it's a long tune which means a lot of fitting pictures are needed.

I don't have any thing planned right now, except that I'm thinking I'll do something from Surf's Up next August to celebrate another 50 year anniversary. I don't know what song I would do though since I've already done my two favorite tracks Surf's Up and 'Til I Die.

Might as well complete the Brian-trilogy and do A Day In the Life of a Tree. I can definitely imagine an accompanying video in the same vein as the "Trees" segment from Melody Time. Disney Girls (1957) could also probably work as well.

Whatever song it will be, I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for sharing!

Nice video, thanks for sharing it with us.

Its too bad the band did not put out more songs like this, definitely unique.

And also ironic that, Mike co-wrote & is on  lead vocals for a song that f***ed with the formula  :lol

I just saw this video from the current tour of the band doing 'All I Wanna Do' and it struck me that the background projection was very much in the same mold as the video I made last year for the song. Is it just a coincidence? What do you all think of the similarity?

Here's the concert:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuugIq60Npg

Here's the video I did:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKPZFb48zko

I see a similarity too, it's hard to miss. Since your video came out a year ago, maybe someone in Mike's crew saw it and used the same graphic style for that concert background in 2021. Is Noven Jaisi still making cut-and-paste videos like that for Mike? I like your original better whatever the case.

Regarding the new video Mike is using, I'm a little confused why they'd use a Guy Webster "vegetables" photo of Brian, David Anderle, and Michael Vosse in the background imagery for a song that came several years after the Smile era. Hmmm.

Wow. Just...wow.
