Title: Al goes Back home Post by: rickymyfataar on February 08, 2020, 08:35:36 AM I have never seen this before, if you love Al Jardine, and let's face it who doesn't, this will put a smile on your face.

That's really heartwarming. And hilarious at times. AJ is one fantastic human being. Love the "impromptu" "Rhonda"! "Is that the end?" he asks about halfway through. :lol Title: Re: Al goes Back home Post by: mtaber on February 09, 2020, 09:08:14 AM Thanks for posting that. I live near Rochester, and my girlfriend grew up very near where Al lived as a kid, though she was there ten years after he moved to California. I recognize the drive they took in the video. Very cool!
Title: Re: Al goes Back home Post by: phirnis on February 09, 2020, 09:53:50 AM Al is just one classy guy. Love how he's having a blast singing Rhonda after what must've been hundreds of live performances of that song throughout his career.
Title: Re: Al goes Back home Post by: juggler on February 09, 2020, 10:57:35 AM That's just awesome.
Years ago, Milton Love said something to the effect that Al was the only member of the Beach Boys who had survived being a member of the Beach Boys. Such an accurate insight. Title: Re: Al goes Back home Post by: MyDrKnowsItKeepsMeCalm on February 09, 2020, 02:02:59 PM This was lovely. Thanks!
Al obviously has a blast playing with Matt and the other fellow from his touring band (apologies, don't know his name) and it really comes through in the Rhonda segment. Title: Re: Al goes Back home Post by: Stephen W. Desper on February 10, 2020, 08:46:40 AM What a treat !! Thanks so much. ~swd
Title: Re: Al goes Back home Post by: The LEGENDARY OSD on February 10, 2020, 10:40:18 AM Amazing to say the least. And, there's nothing like having Al in the backseat of your car singing Beach Boy songs. I think the year was 1972 after a gig at the Villanova Field House. My buddy and I somehow managed to mingle with the band after the show. The band was staying at a hotel about a mile away so we offered him and a couple members of the band a ride there. We all sang BB songs the whole time. Al was great!
