Caught the tail end. Matt (he’s back) and Al sang nearly all leads from “All Summer Long”. Brian remained seated while the others took a bow. The band sounded really good.

It was a GH show, but they had a very nice block of some of my favorites in the middle, and one or two surprises ("Let Him Run Wild," with Matt on lead, for one). Brian's vocals are still spotty, but the rest of the band sounded great. Glad I got to catch this one!

Whoa, anyone saved this?  :o

EDIT:

It's being played on a post on Brian's facebook account from 5 hours ago. You probably just have to find the post and the video plays. Maybe someone can save it
Does this work? https://www.facebook.com/officialbrianwilson/videos/463354930895324/?comment_id=677043229422775&notif_id=1557047445105874&notif_t=feedback_reaction_generic

EDIT 2:

Will try to add the setlist as I skip through the video:

California Girls
Dance, dance, dance
I get around
Shut down
Little deuce coupe
Little Honda
Surfer girl
Salt Lake City
Don't worry baby
Darlin'
Feel flows
Wild honey
Sail on sailor
Do it again
Let him run wild
Wouldn't it be nice
Sloop John B.
God only knows
Good vibrations
All summer long
Help me, Rhonda
Barbara Ann
Surfin' USA
Fun, fun, fun

I think it’s time for the band to consider taking God Only Knows down a key or two if Brian is going to keep singing it.  He’s so clearly struggling to hit those notes.

I was able to download it. Inbox me if you want me to send it to you.

Did anyone else notice the extreme lack of close-ups of Brian? Even on songs where he was singing lead, they would have a close up of literally every band member but him. I watched the whole concert twice and only saw a couple close-ups (still pretty far away) of Brian, but totally tight shots of Al, Matt (nice to see him back, although I also did like Rob), and everyone else. Kinda strange. Was this at the insistence of the producers because of Brian's, how should I put this, sometimes somber appearance? Did someone deem that he was having an "off" night or something?

I love Brian, but oh man, his vocals were all over the place. That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy the show. I thoroughly did, and I'll probably watch it again a million times. The band is ON FIRE here!! Matt absolutely shines on Let Him Run Wild. Al, of all places, totally rocked on Shut Down, Darian sounded great on Darlin, I love Nicky Wonder's Fender Bass on Dance Dance Dance.

This show overwhelmed me with bitter-sweetness, something I've felt every time I've seen Brian in person, but nothing has ever compared to the feeling I got from watching this video. The band is amazing. The music is amazing. Happy crowd. That was all great, but to hear Brian's voice cracking on every line of God Only Knows just hurts. Surely, like someone has already mentioned, many of these songs keys (and maybe tempos) should be adjusted for Bri. I know Brian has never really been comfortable on stage, like someone like Mike Love, but I haven't seen him *this uncomfortable* since 1981 or immediate-post Landy years. In shots where he can be seen, He looks genuinely tense and unhappy. I know there's not much he can do if he already committed to doing a show and is having an ""off" night. He doesn't want to retire, so this is his job. I just wish accommodations could be made, musical or otherwise, to ensure that Brian is having a nice time. I know he as a nice chair he loves backstage, why not bring it out to the piano ??  :lol :lol I know that sounds goofy, but Dave Grohl had a fricken guitar throne!!! If it made Bri comfortable, then great! Anything like that to make him happier. He certainly didn't look happy last night.

I Don't mean to be too much of a downer. I loved the show. I'm thankful that Brian is still performing.

Al seems to be the band leader now. He sounds great and his vocals are really up front on most songs.

Brian looked very tired and seems to be struggling for air which is easy to understand considering his health, age and difficulty of songs to sing. Not sure where he goes from here but hope he has better nights   :(

That was painful to listen to. The band was great and Al sounded terrific. I was never a big Blondie fan and this did not help - he sounded drunk. Brian sounded terrible. I got used to the shouty Brian, but now he has a shouty, syncopated, out of breath sound. I could forgive it, if he was having fun, but he looks absolutely miserable.

I really wish someone else would sing GOK. The vocal range is too great for Brian.
I know it's one of if not the most "beloved" of his songs, but he didn't sing it on the recording or the live shows up thru the 90s.
I couldn't bear to listen to it last night. I put my tablet on "mute" for that song.

Yes.....noticed. Possibly a condition of recording a live gig. Dylan had something similar at Desert Trip a few years ago. The thing is doing so just accentuated the fact there is a problem IMO.

For what it's worth, the people running the telecast didn't have much of a sense of who was singing lead at any given time.

He did have some good moments too. The bridge on WIBN for one . Do It again too . I don’t think it’s possible for him to play a show without Alan at this point in time.  I think Brian feels comfortable having Al run things though .

I don't think anyone would blame Brian for packing it in on the live shows.  He doesn't owe us anything.  I love him but it hurts to see him struggling to sing like that.  Even when he sounds okay, he sounds like he's straining.  I know people have worried about Brian doing concerts for years now but I've seen him and the band about five or six times since the 2012 Beach Boys tour and the deterioration of his voice and his physical presence is pretty staggering.

I also noticed that relationship between Al and Brian and agree that Brian is depending on Al. During one song Al said something along the lines of "this next part is yours, Brian" then Brian sang.

i liked when blondie thanked brian and al for "bringing him to this country 50 yrs ago"- I didn't really realise that but i guess thats accurate, they probably helped him come here like  or were instrumental in it.  Brian did miss a lot of lines and looked even less animated than usual.  A brian highlight for me was Salt Lake City, a suprise.  Worst moment of the night ??? anyone?   Darians lead on "Darlin'"- wasnt into it dawg.

Al was a little hoarse but not in a horrible way hes been working a TON and i mean arlo i saw last week was wayyyyy more hoarse and he was still great and so al was definetly really great but still a little hoarse but i still wish he was featured more this show, would of been nice to add cal saga or honkin

Regarding Brian, I hope he doesn't sing because of an obligation that he has to sing his songs. His presence enough, overseeing the performance of his songs by his extremely talented touring band is more than enough for the average fan. For instance, Roger Waters doesn't really sing on many of his songs either, apart from playing some bass and doing some backup vocals.

I just hope that he realises that no fan would ever feel disappointed with his decision to sing or not sing, that's all.

Since his back surgery last year, although I think he's used a walker at times

I wouldn't be at all upset with BW just playing piano, or even just sitting and "overseeing" the music, as someone else put it... Hell, I'd even love to see him play his Fender Bass again during the encore, he wouldn't have to stand or sing. Everyone going to see a BW show at this point, I think is aware of his story and struggles. Brian's band has so many great singers that surely the songs would be in good hands. Al and Matt sound great on the early rockers. Gary Griffin sang a lot of BBs leads when he played with Jan & Dean. The only song that would feel a little strange, if the lead was sung by someone else, would be Love & Mercy.

I've also noticed that as the years go on, especially post-C50, Brian likes to be heard on the piano. Why not just let him comp on the piano, and leave the heavy lifting to the band? That sounds like the best course of action going into the future, in my opinion. And if Brian really strongly does want to sing, it's definitely time to adjust the keys and tempos to accommodate for Brian's current voice. A bunch of songs were played in adjusted keys when BW started touring. Darlin, Be My Baby,etc... It could be done again. Musicians of that caliber probably wouldn't even have to stress and could probably make any changes easily.

I believe it is not. Maybe I should've pointed out the download is the concert, not ClipGrab. Hey ho.

I first saw Brian solo during the first PS shows in the early 2000s, and as anyone would expect, he has physically deteriorated since that tour. However the act and set has actually got better with Al and Blondie now regulars, so I believe it’s time for a radical reboot.

Rename any tour as ‘The Brian Wilson Band’. Brian’s onstage for all or some of the set. He sings a few or as many songs as he can manage on any given night. He wants to play bass? He plays bass. He wants to swap a song? He swaps it. Make the show more flexible for him. I was at the first ‘Final’ PS show in Auckland 2016. The band were feeling their way onstage, saying as such, and I loved it.

It is no longer a Brian Wilson concert. It is The Brian Wilson Band with Brian Wilson and Special Guests. Just go out and say it.

Maybe just uses it for stage shows since it reduces the chance of him tripping on wires, etc.

I agree. I love Brian and his music has been there for me through thick and thin, happiness and despair, but watching this made me incredibly sad.

We keep hearing that Brian wants to be there, but he doesn't look it at all. And, although his health and age may be a factor in this, his delivery does not feel like he's trying at all.

Yes, the band, Al, Blondie, etc are great. But, I wonder if this is Brian's passive aggressive way of trying to get out of doing shows.

My thoughts exactly and I wouldn't ( nor any of us I believe) would think any less of him. We all know of Brian's struggles. Doesn't change the fact he is a genius. Time catches up with all of us and he has not had an easy life.

Just going to add my random two cents.  Please don't anyone take this as I'm attacking Brian; I love the man and his music and talents just like the rest of you, and I know much less of what he's been through (compared to the rest of you) because I haven't bought/read as many books yet.

I went to see Brian, Al, and Blondie perform Pet Sounds in 2017.  I knew Brian's vocals wouldn't be anything like the 60's of course, but I think I was expecting something on par with 2012.  As I'm still diving head first, I heard a lot of new songs (for me) that I loved...my first dive into Wild Honey started here.  I was initially lukewarm on Pet Sounds (other than the hits), but it's growing on me.  Obviously I was somewhat disappointed and saddened, because although I know we've heard to the contrary, but other than a couple of songs, he sounds like he doesn't want to be there.  "God Only Knows" (either from that show or what I've heard on YouTube around that time) made me extremely sad...does anyone think Brian's decline could connect to the fact that the full band isn't touring?  It sounds stupid, I know, but he was pretty engaged from what I've been able to hear on the C50 live album and from various clips on YouTube.  On the other hand, Al impressed me as expected.  I wasn't as initially happy with Blondie, but warmed up.  Same with Matt.  When I listened to the Wild Honey album and Let Him Run Wild, I was shocked.  I had liked Foskett more before, but now I had switched to Matt.  If I'm right, I had just learned about California Saga shortly before my show, thinking it was Cool Cool Water, and let's just say the real Cool Cool Water was a shock to hear, but I loved it (California Saga).  That song just does something to me.  Beach Boys + a country vibe?  Yes please.   The only thing that disappointed me with Al was that he refused in a kind of harsh way to sign my original 1966 cover of Pet Sounds.  Maybe that was a venue thing though?  I hope so because he's supposedly been fairly courteous.  Maybe he wasn't happy that he wasn't allowed to sign things:?

EDIT: Oh and watching a bit of this show last night didn't help.

Because of Brian's vocals, and the price, my family has been trying to persuade me from going if Brian's still going to be "detached."   I know he's gone through a lot, but I really enjoyed seeing Al (and can't see him because I'll be on vacation when he comes), and my interest has really been piqued by this new Brian/Al/Blondie/Zombies tour.  Not that I really listen to the Zombies (other than She's Not There), but the idea of Surf's Up cuts, Friends cuts, and other deep cuts makes me want to make the drive to NYC in September.  Ok, tirade over.

Watched most of it and it wasn't anywhere near the train wreck I was expecting. Al's voice is a National treasure, and the band is really good.

Keep Brian in the mix and double his leads where possible. A lot of people think it's time for Brian to step away, but hey, it's show business-if people continue to pay to see him, and he wants to do it, keep going.
