This is the era during which Brian Wilson was writing things like "When I Grow Up to Be a Man" and "She Knows Me Too Well" and "Please Let Me Wonder," among others, and those kids were the intended audience. I wish that somebody would do a picture book from the "striped shirt" years, 1963-1967. There must be some incredible pictures out there, like the ones posted here. Also interesting to note that Al and Glen shared bass and guitar duties.
