Title: The Alan Deane vocal scores - I Found Them!!!
Post by: Robbie Mac on December 26, 2018, 12:36:55 PM
Back in the late 2000’s, a musician named Alan Deane started posting vocals scores of BB (and other songs) on his website. The scores were posted over at surfermoon.com. Sadly. Deane was killed in an accident in 2012-ish and the url to his website ceased to be shortly afterward therefore losing his vocal scores.

Or so I thought.

I made a discovery that someone had downloaded his BB scores and posted them here.

This is pretty cool and interesting stuff for the musicians here among us. :)

That's fantastic, CM PB!  :o Thank you so much for linking that site. Tragic news about Mr Deane though.

Awesome! I conversed with Alan a few times back in the day. (I maaaayyy have even taught him the correct backing lyrics to "Darlin'".) I knew that he had gotten killed on a bicycle a few years back and hated it so much. Happy to see that the files survive. BTW, he also had posted transcriptions for a few Eagles vocal harmony parts. Maybe those will be located someday!

The other songs from the Eagles, Four Seasons, the Drifters, Neil Diamond, and the traditional songs that he did are also on that website. Just click on the “music” link at the top of the page and you will see the other non-BB transcriptions.

Back in the summer, it seems like the site was shut down.

Any chance that someone who managed to download these could repost them?
