Title: Had To Phone Ya Post by: feelintheflows on September 01, 2018, 08:58:34 AM This was one of those songs that I skipped over on 15 Big Ones. Never cared for it. Listened to it fully the other day, now I’m obsessed with it. It’s stuck in my head. I love how all five members of the band take turns on lead vocal. Thoughts on the song? As such, it's got the classic BW production touch, to me at least. Same with "Just Once In My Life" from that same set - I know others dislike the Boys' version of that song, but it gives me goosebumps.

Actually if the vocals were better the album would’ve been looked at in a higher light. Billy is right: better vocals would have made a huge difference (not that it's the only '70s track where a person could say that).
