Fantastic!
Happy birthday, Brian, and many, many more.
I just went to the FB page, and they also have a message for Paul from two days ago. I can't help but notice that Brian's is way more gushy.  :lol   I love them both, but Brian is incomparable.

From Mike's Facebook page :

Dear Cousin Brian,

I hope you are enjoying your birthday today. It’s been a long time. I remember us singing Everly Brothers songs together and writing so many songs that still bring so much joy to so many people for so many years. The RPO album is the latest success in a long career that you can be proud of. The greatest feeling knows the happiness that so many have enjoyed as a result what we’ve done together.
I hope that wherever you are, you will be celebrating with the knowledge that literally millions of people have spent many happy hours listening to the music that you were such an important part of creating. In addition to all that, know that I, your first cousin have always and will always Love you!

Happy Birthday Brian!
Peace & Love,
Mike

WELCOME INTO THE BUDDY HOLLY EDUCATIONAL FAMILY
BRIAN Douglas WILSON
Your "PET SOUNDS" made the world "SMILE"
Today,we are honoured to celebrate one of the most important guitar presentations for Maria Elena and The Buddy Holly Educational Foundation.
The creative genius that brings us all such joy, with his masterful songs, productions and arrangements, has graciously accepted our Buddy inspired "Everyday" guitar, once played on a wonderful instrumental recording of "Everyday" by the late, great Nokie Edwards.
As Maria Elena confirms,Buddy would be immensely proud an artist with so many amazing musical attributes loved his music too.
Here's a few timeless classic masterpieces from the maestro, followed by Nokie's version of "Everyday" and ending with a particular Buddy favourite of Brian's.

GOOD VIBRATIONS - DON'T WORRY BABY - THE WARMTH OF THE SUN - HEROES AND VILLAINS - GOD ONLY KNOWS - EVERYDAY (NOKIE EDWARDS) - RAVE ON (BUDDY HOLLY)

Agreed!

Cool guitar. I know Gary Busey has the original in the 80's. And then I believe somebody took the original frets and made a series of replicas that each included an original fret. Not sure if this one is from the same series or not.

Buddy really was one of the first guys to take charge of his own stuff in the studio, and Brian kinda took that to the next level, so there is definitely a connection.
