Not much new, and it doesn't get too inflammatory at least. We do get a new Mike tour band photo which is as douchey as last year's, complete with the sunglasses for everyone.

The author references Mike working on a new BB album, but I don't know if that means Mike is writing songs with an eye towards using them if the BBs ever reunite (unlikely, especially considering he discusses the lack of likelihood of a reunion later in the article), or if the author and Mike are referring to his own "solo" stuff (much more likely). Weird that the author seems to have some level of knowledge, yet doesn't seem to be aware Mike can't use the BB name for recordings.

Oh nothing, just us bros, in capri pants, chillin, feet in ocean, no big deal.   

Someone in PR must have told Mike around the early 2000s that the "Beach Boys" promo photos they had been using in 1998-99 with Mike, Bruce, and Dave, and then afterwards just Mike and Bruce, weren't really helping their case. So all of a sudden the backing guys started being added to the photos.

I guess the sunglasses help them stay just a bit more generic and obscured.

Just thinking how funny it is/was to see all those promo photos and yet ads for Mike's shows were still running photos showing Al or Brian from C50 in 2012 years after the fact. Must be a lot of sloppy employees coast to coast in the advertising or marketing departments of those venues or publications.

Nailed it. Mike seems to be enamored of the "Bros in casual pants enjoying each others' company" aesthetic, judging from this on the heels of the Stamos-McGrath "Bros with expensive haircuts yukking it up in front of hotel linen" video.

Okay, so I never noticed... What's the deal with Scott Totten having to be the only one holding an instrument in numerous publicity photos?  :lol

Is that Stamos's wedding possibly? I am not sure if Brian attended, I know the other guys did. I believe there was a story where Al got stuck in some awful seat in a corner or something.  Looking at those photos, Bruce really aged quickly in the mid 00's. Looks like he aged 15 years in 5.

Pretty sure that's Mike's wedding that Brian attended.

From that interview, you would never know other BB named Carl, Dennis, and Al ever existed.  Only Mike, Brian, and that guitarist Bruce gave the BB their success.
