Title: RIP Jerry Lewis
Post by: petsoundsnola on August 21, 2017, 06:25:22 AM
Apparently this was his last interview, at the end of 2016.  Kind of reminds me of some of Brian's interviews.

What a huge loss. He was, no, is one of my all time favorite comedians. Even though I was born forty or so years after he began his career in show business, I grew up watching his movies with Dean Martin(I had "At War With The Army" on VHS), and his solo movies. I also watched him do the MDA Telethon often. When I was younger I often dreamed of hosting one with him.  ;D He was one of the last remaining of the "golden age" of comedy.

His son wrote this one about Jerry as I understand:

I found this today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XL-6ZIiwHKY and as I was watching it I thought to myself that Jerry Lewis was probably the last surviving comedian and performer of a certain quality of "showmen". Jerry, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, etc. They're all gone. We probably wont ever again see this kind of talent and entertainment.
