Title: Living Without You
Post by: Peadar 'Big Dinner' O'Driscoll on August 08, 2017, 12:49:16 AM
Got a free house for the week so set up my recording stuff again. Decided to start with this Randy Newman cover. I recorded the vocal and guitar live and then just added stuff on top. Hadn't listened to the song in a while so decided to just do it from memory rather than listen again.

Sounds good, BD (or POD). I'm not familiar at all with the original but really, who needs it now?

Looking forward to more from this session. :=)

Thanks JK. Working on a country-ish version of "In My Room" and then recording an old motown inspired song I wrote a few years ago. Hopefully will finish them before chaos returns to the house  :lol

Cool. I love the song--original and Nilsson versions--and thought you did cool things with it.

Great job. I only knew this one from the version by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, had no idea until now that Randy Newman wrote it.

Thanks Alex. I had forgotten about that version but then checked my record collection and actually bought that NGDB LP about 3 years ago. Shows I am buying too many records to actually remember what I have  ;D
