Title: Need avdice for picking a good seat for Brian at Radio City
Post by: Pablo. on July 07, 2017, 01:36:27 PM
I'm planning to attend Brian's gig at New York's Radio City Music Hall in September. This my first and only shot to see him perform live, I suppose.
I'm worried, since Brian doesn't move too much, about picking a bad seat.
Can anyone who knows the Radio City or have been to the current Brian show give me some advice?
I've been checking videos and site maps.
Seats at the center? (Orch 4 in the site map)
Or a little bit to the left or right (from the seat perspective)???
Thanks in advance.

Brian usually always sits behind a 'grand piano'.  Whatever seat you choose, you'll want to be sure the piano isn't blocking his face.  I was at the show in Michigan and the piano was to the right, so I had a bit of trouble spotting him through all the bright lights sometimes.  Good luck!

Yeah, the piano is sort of angled in such a way that if you sit left of the centre you'll have a better view of his profile rather than just his head floating above the piano.  The show I was at in Winnipeg in April, I sat in row 3, left of centre, and was able to see him from the shoulders up, perfect view. Pretty close, but just far enough away to not get blockage from the piano.

So looking at the seat map I'd go with Orch 5, but that's just me.

Radio City is a stunning venue, seeing him there should be mindblowing!

I've been to many of his local shows, and a friend of mine thought he had great seats directly in front of Brian and his piano. He couldn't see Brian, and
the piano blocked him the entire time. Sit right of center if your close to the stage....right looking at the stage.
